Retired Linemen!!!!!!!! What a nostalgic restoration of a former Southwestern Bell Telephone linemans service truck. Owned and restored most recently by the Steelweld Equipment Company from St Clair MO, this truck features their prototype SU76 utility bed built to solicit bids from the "baby bell" company headquartered in St. Louis at the time. A time capsule of the early days of land line telephone install, repair and sales, this truck features a full working bed complete with cable storage reel, ladder racks, connector storage, water jug and sample rotary dial phones from the period.
Great for any "working class" collection, or as a "retirement" present to anyone that worked the highlines for any of the Bells, this truck will bring many hours of conversation, recollection and thumbs up at local car/truck shows and cruise nights.
Complete with a photo album of the truck in the SWB fleet, sealed and protected "blueprint" of the SU-76 body construction and a story to tell the ages, bid on this truck with confidence.
Please contact Tom @ 573.286.5359 with any direct questions regarding this piece of communication history.
