Where to start. I have owned this car for over 22 years. When I purchased the car, the salesman informed me that it's prior owner was an elderlylady named Ethel. It was blue and had 78,000 + original miles. The car now has 218,948 miles. It's had many repairs over the years and has what was oncea very powerful 305 8 cylinder engine that tore across the back roads and counties of Southeast Virginiaand even passed State Inspection until I moved it to North Dakota in the year 1999. North Dakota has no car inspection, but enforcement will happen if defects are spotted. The front tires were purchased after 2015 andare in good condition. In 1999 my future wife was driving and went off the highway through a ditch and field at fast speed when I pointed out the motel ahead. It would jump, albeit at low altitude, but still airborne over railroad tracks and gulley. And in North Dakota it ran well too and as time went by I replaced the radiator which still seems ok, and the oil, fuel and water pumps. It needs a windshield washer motor and the windshield has a crack in the lower middle & two rock chips. The Caprice is spray painted black has two original type hubcaps and white lettered tires in back that are well worn. Has rusty hole under driver's floor mat that is uniquely covered. It has duel exhaust and still starts with a jump. Runs but misfires and has large quantities of exhaust and a ticking and knocking engine noise especially when you accelerate. Headliner is stapled up and dashboard is cracked. Interior is still comfy cozy but driver's seat is worn and torn but still relaxing. Has a rear-seal engine oil leak of about approx. 1 quart every 100 miles, transmission leaks over time, but you can still hit the gas in Forward and while accelerating ram it into Reverse without negative consequence. The air conditioning is long gone and the passenger side door handle is very loose but still functions if you snap it back into place, front windows do not roll down. The rear driver's door is held shut with a rope. Carb has fuel delivery problem when first starts and at times when running. Also had a lot of rust holes that are fixed with roofing tar, plaster, tape and pop cans and the back part of a metal kid's dump truck. Radio still works, but not in cold weather and takes a while to hone in on a station, but still plays loud and clear at times. This car is not intended to be driven as is and would be a major repair project for someone who is interested in the undertaking of it. The title states Brougham but I don't see that terminology anywhere on the car and I couldn't get it off the listing. It comes with the original owners manual. Some restored Caprice Classics sell for over 20k. Another option is to get lots of useable parts. This car was fun to drive and now it can be yours! Payment is expected in full by PayPal within 7 days. Also, the car must be picked up by you, here at my address in Fargo ND, a great place for a small vacation. Has large dent on passenger side doors and on driver's side front door.
