For your consideration is this 1953 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck. This piece of Americana appears to have had an extensive metallic paint job and restoration in the 1970s before clear coat's popularity. The paint today is rubbed through and there is no metallic glimmer. The 30+ year patina shows through and is a perfect candidate for the ever-popular LS swap or enjoy it as it is; the latter is my preference. It is impossible to go to the hardware store or a restaurant without a 30 minute conversation about these old trucks. There is no rot through anywhere on this truck. The floorboard does have thin places, but was skimmed with body filler - my guess would be during the restoration back in the day and there is no need to replace it now. Cab corners and battery rocker are solid. She has all new brakes and cylinders and is roadworthy, but as you know, 50mph is roadworthy in these old girls. Solid old rough sawed oak in the bed. Perfect piece for your shop or the Texaco collector. The lettering is hand painted, not the vinyl ready-to-order stickers. She has been upgraded to 12 volts, a new seat, and a new clutch. Needs if you want her perfect are: 12v gauges, driver's side glass, turn signals, and a headliner. I don't like the old cheap cardboard headliners for these trucks, so I didn't replace it. The brake and headlights do work and are legal. The truck comes with a current Georgia registration, bill of sale, and current tag receipt. Vehicles of this age are not issued titles in the state of Georgia. I am 60 miles north of Atlanta, have shipping connections, and will assist the shipper of your choice in the loading process. If you'd like a good ol' solid hard-to-find truck, bid and enjoy. A $500 deposit is required within 24 hrs via PayPal to the winning bidder. The truck will be released after your funds clear my bank and the balance is paid in full. True southern truck from Dawsonville, Georgia.
