This is my 1971 Chevrolet Blazer. I bought it from the original owner of 43 years. He bought it brand new from Knutsen Chevrolet in Couer D'Alene. daho in July of 1971 when he came back from the war in Vietnam. I have paperwork going back to 1973 for this Blazer and what he did to it over the years. PLEASE READ: RUST ISSUES. THE ONLY RUST IS ON THE ROCKERS AND LOWER QUARTER PANELS. (They should be replaced) EVERYTHING ELSE IS SOLID. The rear floors. ub floors. heel wells. ndercarriage and windshield frame are RUST FREE. It is equipped with some original Hickey Enterprises aftermarket parts from the early 70's. (The center console lock box/3rd seat. he torsion bar up front. ransfer case guard. ocker panel guards and aftermarket tach which is working)The interior is original and has never been re-done. The back seat was taken out and never sat in or used. I recently put it in but it has only been sat in a total of 3 times. The dash pad. eat covers. ubber mat. loor mats. teering wheel and visors are all original to the Blazer when it rolled off the assembly line. It has the rare "utility buckets" with the steel backing. The top is a double-wall and has only off the Blazer once in it's life. That was in 1981. The floors. ed floor. nner wheel wells are all rock solid with no rust anywhere. The top end was rebuilt 3 years ago and the mileage is 56. 30 miles at the time of this posting. It runs amazing. It also has dual exhaust. I have replaced all the hoses. lugs. lternator. attery and lots of other little things I wanted to do. The transfer case has been serviced. he rear differential oil has been drained and replaced. The whitewall tires are brand new. They have less than 500 miles on them. I have receipts and paperwork going back to 1973 including a sealed envelope of the original Hickey catalogs from 1973. 971 Chevrolet service manuals. wners manual and gas mileage records. The pictures will tell it all. This thing is my baby and is my daily driver. I have maintained this Blazer with great detail and it is flawless with the running gear. I have been slowly restoring it back to stock condition and I am including a picture of when I first bought it. You will see the transformation. I have bought lots of stock OEM parts as I didn't want a total re-pop Blazer. The front bumper was re-chromed. t has new lenses. ide marker lamps and lenses. ill plates and I also have a new chrome rear bumper and license plate bracket I haven't been able to put on yet but that is included with the sale. It will need some rocker panels and lower front quarter patches and a few dents popped out but if you know what you're doing or take some time with it. t won't be a huge deal. The paint is original and it has never seen a body shop in 44 years. No bondo. o aftermarket panels. enders. nothing. My Blazer gets attention everywhere and as more things happen to it-it's going to super nice. I have started that for you and done a ton of work already. The 4 wheel drive works great! We just had a bunch of snow a few days ago(which has since melted) and it just barrels through it with ease. I ended up buying another car today and have decided to sell the Blazer. I'm probably gonna kick myself for it down the line but that's how it goes. Keep in mind. his is a STOCK 1971 Blazer. It has never been lifted. ampered with and beat to ****. I can only hope that it will stay that way. You do not see these in stock form on the streets or anywhere for that matter. If you do. t doesn't happen often. I have covered everything you need to know. This is a DRIVER and not some parts machine. It gets driven EVERYDAY. The engine just PURRS. Everything works including the windshield washer with fluid. On Jan-06-15 at 20:19:40 PST. seller added the following information:I forgot to mention that all the glass is perfect and that the windshield frame is also rust-free. It has a Hickey transmission cooler up front. It also has the rare bottom dash "map light" option. All intact. The top is in good shape but will need a few holes filled where I had taken off a Hickey roof rack which I didn't want. It went to someone doing a 40. 00 thousand dollar resto on a '72 Blazer. The Hickey catalogs I have also have some original Hickey stickers in them which have never been stuck on anything. It's not aftermarket Hickey stuff that is reproduced these days. It's all the real deal. On Jan-07-15 at 11:46:19 PST. seller added the following information:If you look at the pictures you will see some of them are a little older. As of right now. he engine bay has been completely re-done right down to the original markings on the firewall from the workers on the assembly line. All correct decals have been placed where they needed to be as well. I think today I'll take a couple more shots of it for you. I'm driving it out to the Valley today and I hear it outside as I type this. On Jan-09-15 at 09:37:10 PST. seller added the following information:I had a question about the front floors. nner fender wells and windshield frame. All of those are RUST FREE. It's one of the reasons I bought this Blazer. I had a '72 but it had rust everywhere. This one does not. The rockers aren't even that bad really. The WORST RUST is the bottom of the front quarters on both sides. I chipped out 13 pounds of dirt from both sides and then sprayed it with a rust inhibitor to help stop it until it can be cut out and replaced. I did not want a BONDO MACHINE. Honestly. 'm having a little trouble deciding if I really want to let my Blazer go. I'm letting the auction run it's course though and if it doesn't sell. ou probably aren't going to see it re-listed. I just received my "deluxe wheel covers" in the mail today. If you know Blazers and Cheyennes. you know which wheel covers those are. On Jan-10-15 at 13:54:12 PST. seller added the following information:I got a number off when I posted the actual mileage. It just turned 56. 00 miles yesterday. On Jan-20-15 at 09:03:46 PST. seller added the following information:PLEASE SCROLL THROUGH THE PICTURES-THE LAST ONE IS WHAT THE BLAZER LOOKS LIKE AS OF TODAY. I have posted a ton of pictures so that you can see the transformation of when I bought it.
