For consideration is my Very Original 1970 Z28 RS Camaro. This Z28 just came out of a 20 year hibernation and is extremely original with the exception of repaint and carb. which is now a 750 Holley. Car comes with its Original Protectoplate Warranty Card and Original 1970 Window Registration among many other original documents and early pictures. The original LT1 350/360hp CTC code engine was professionally rebuilt to factory specs by famed race engine builder Ed Hale before car was stored away and it runs and sounds like a dream. This car runs, drives, shifts, and handles very strong and tight. Tires have good tread but are old and should be replaced for safety. Has factory F41 suspension package, power steering and power front disc brakes. All body panels are original to car and very straight and smooth and I believe have never been removed. Body gaps and alignment are perfect. The only body repair that I can find on car is what looks to have been a minor dent repair on the lower left quarter panel behind rear tire. The repaint is over 20 years old so it does have some scratches, touch ups, and fading but still looks pretty good for an older paint job. The stripes are now blue and were originally black I believe. All of the chrome and trim on car is original and without dents or damage but may need polishing or resurfacing to be show quality. All of the glass is clear and without cracks. There is no rust anywhere on the car being an original California car that has not left the state. The interior is in near mint original condition. Even the carpet is original and in excellent condition. The original spare tire and jack are still in the trunk. Everything except the radio and clock works as it should. Radio may just be a fuse but I haven't checked. Even the door buzzer works which is annoying, haha. Following is a list of major original numbers matching number parts/components on the car: *LT1 350/360hp CTC code engine with matching VIN minus original carb. *C OZ code 3:73 posi 12 bolt rear end *Original Turbo 400 transmission (I have not physically verified this yet but have no reason to believe otherwise) *1112019 Distributor *1100837 Altenator 37 Amp. This is one of the nicest unmolested and well documented early Z28 Camaros that I have ever owned and I have owned many. I most likely would not be selling it but I like the 67,68, and 69 body styles just a little bit more. A $1000 deposit is due within 24 hrsafter auction end with balance of purchase price due within 3 days after auction end.
Please inspect the car or have someone inspect it before placing your bid or offer to purchase. Shipping is at full cost and responsibility of buyer. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
My name is Donnie and I can be texted or called at 561-876-8038 for any further questions about car. Thank you.
On May-28-17 at 14:33:59 PDT, seller added the following information:*Correction* Upon further inspection it appears that the Engine Block may not be the original block that was in the car when new as I was told by the previous owner. It is the correct casting number of 3970010 but I could not find a VIN on it anywhere and the date doesn't appear to be correct. There are also 2 suffix codes on the block pad which is unusual. The rest of the engine including intake, distributor, altenator, pulleys, heads, and exhaust manifolds are the original born with Z28/LT1 parts. Engine had been rebuilt by Ed Hale who was a famed machinist/racer in El Cajon, CA. He has since passed away. I was able to verify that the transmission is original to car as it has the metal id plate indicating 70 CW with a Jullian date 447 which also matches Protectoplate.
