Car description

Pro Touring is about no compromises, and this incredible 1966 Chevy Nova Station Wagon is a prime example. With a thumping 350 cubic inch small block, a suspension hunkered down over gorgeous rolling stock, and a stunning leather interior, it's obvious that no corners were cut in the construction. The crisp Nova has always been popular with hot rodders; heck, even the factory got into the act when they stuffed a potent L79 Corvette motor under the hood and created one of the most predatory sleepers ever. And giving a wagon the full pro-touring treatment really makes this one stand out! Rendered in low-key Ermine White, most folks take one look at the sleek, clean lines and figure that it has to be modified, but it isn't. Aside from some shaved emblems and the rear door handles (to give it the look of a 2-door), the rest of the car is original GM steel so the original grille and bright chrome bumpers front and rear look right. The two-stage urethane paint is dazzling in the sunlight, and you can imagine how the heads will turn when you prowl into the parking lot behind the wheel of this one. It might show a few very, very minor signs of use, but the overall look is clean, slick, and very nicely done. It more than lives up to the expectations made by the price tag.The spectacular tan leather interior came with a price tag of more than $12,000 all by itself and it shows. Gone is the original front bench, replaced by a pair of comfortable low-back buckets flanking a custom-made center console. Matching tan carpets and neatly sculpted door panels add to the updated vibe as well as helping to disguise the beast that lives underneath. Upgrades include a full set of Auto Meter gauges neatly built into the original instrument panel, neatly integrated A/C (ice cold, by the way), and a leather-wrapped dash pad. The steering wheel is an OEM unit from a Camaro or Corvette, so that's a nice nod to the past and the entertai9nment system is a $5000 setup that's powered by the touch-screen head unit in the console. Even the cargo bay is beautifully finished, probably too nice to work anymore but imagine hitting the road for the next Power Tour in this cool hauler! One turn of the key will convince you that the money was spent in the right place, because this 350 cubic inch V8 cackles and snarls. Fully rebuilt and featuring goodies like an Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley double pumper carburetor, an upgraded cam, and MSD ignition, it loves to rev but pulls with big torque at any speed. It has clearly been dressed to look purposeful, with beautifully finished inner fenders, a custom molded firewall, aluminum dress-up parts, and hidden wiring and plumbing, all of which was done with aesthetics in mind. A big aluminum radiator helps keep it nice and cool, even when you're in traffic, and even with the big cam, it never seems fussy. The suspension is augmented by an Air Ride setup that gives it that in-the-weeds look and there's a disc brake at all four corners. A 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission sends thrust back to a 9-inch Ford rear end full of 3.73 gears and it rides on a set of cool Torque Thrust wheels inside low-profile performance radials for a true Pro Touring look. This car's extensive list of modifications and equipment really needs more space than we have here, so please give us a call to get the full story.
