1974 Chevrolet Caprice Convertible
Clean Texas title. Been in storage 29 years. Last of the big Chevrolet Convertibles. This is aproject car. Original 400 small block, turbo 400 transmission, 12 bolt rear, disk brake front. The following new parts have been fitted so this vehicle will drive on and off a trailer:- Holley carburetor rebuilt- 4 new schocks- new brake pads- new bushings fitted to upper control arms- new fuel pump- new water pump- new headers- 2 new mufflers- new belts, hoses, trans fluid, oil change- new distributor, new leads and plugs- complete tune upHave driven it around the block, transmission shifts fine, brakes good, steering good. Not suitable to drive on highway as it is not registered.Radiator transmission cooler is bypassed because of leakNeutral safety switch bypassed on steering column because it stopped working but as Idescribed earlier, suitable to drive on and off a trailer. This is a project vehicle. My neighbor I bought it from had it 29 years, he fitted new wheels and tires. He read a lot of Hot Rodmagazines and thought he could restore this vehicle...that's why the floorsand trunk floorare patched very poorly. Some rust in quater panels, but a pretty straight original Texas car.Does not have power windows, all glass original. A little of work to drive on the street or suitablefor full restoration or rat rod daily driver.Low reserve. Can help load.Located 120 miles east of Dallas on highway 20
