1964 CHEVROLET CONVERTIBLE STINGRAY CORVETTE.
Up for your consideration, is one amazing looking and running, piece of automobile hotrod history. This particular convertible has a great story to tell. This specific Corvette was originally purchase by a company called, "Campbell-Ewald Company".Solely for the purpose to create an advertisement brochure for the 1964 Corvette.Purchased for photo shoots, to place on the advertisement brochure. There is an original copy of this particular brochure with the exact car they used, which is for sale here. From there the Corvette changed hands 2 other times. Another example was a former,GM executive from Michigan who owned it for a few years. Then on to the current owner, who has so kindly enlighten us on the history of this car.He very politely asked us to consider placing their car up for sale on our eBay page. This car has been in their possession now for over 20 plus years.Driven on and off on the weekends and to places such as the famous "WoodWard Dream Cruise" here in Michigan.Other than that, this Corvette spends most of its days safely within the realms of their garage.
From what we have gather and from what information we were informed. This car is original, with matching numbers. Not a frame off restoration or partial rebuild project car.A few things to mention; the front end was completely redone, steering and tie rods, etc were updated. The engine was rebuilt some time ago.The car was professional repainted, some twenty years ago. There is a great glossy shine to the paint. There were a copy of rock chips on the front, and another very minor scratch near the rear wheel well(driver's side).According to the owner, they have had this car professional looked over and examined to determine it has never been in a car accident. This car is straight and all doors, lids hood close beautifully. There is plenty of documentation and brochures to be included. Not to mention a parts book. The title is free and clear and in their hands, ready to pass on to the next owner.
The interior is all original, as to is the convertible top(both tops to be exact). No tears, rips or worn out rubber seals. This is a "turn key" drive home, weekend reliable car to purchase. The chrome is very clean, no dents or fading.Only areas of very minor concern, would be found on the underside, near the rear wheel wells.A little rust was found there. That is so minor in comparison to what you get as a package. This is an excellent looking and driving Corvette. Please take some time to look over the pictures we have provided. We have a ton, so feel free to ask to see more.Feel free to ask any and all questions that may be of concern.
We will even forward your questions to the current owner and directly let you talk with them. They are a pleasure to talk to .They truly love this car and they really hate to see it go, but it's time for them to move on.They have had their fun with the toys they owned and it's simply time for them to move on to the next chapter. The seller is available to show the car with a fair heads up notice.Im sure we have missed some details, so please ask all the important and not so important questions.
Thank you again for looking.
