Beautiful, original 1988 IROC-Z. This car is spectacular. Still has dealership plastic on the front floor mats! At the time of this ad, the car shows 15,103.8 miles. I do believe this to be accurate and not rollover. If you see the car in person, I think you will agree. The Autocheck report on Ebay shows accurate. However, there is a carfax note that shows possible rollover. Previous owner stated that was due to a typo by one person and if you actually look at the registration records that does appear to be the case. The previous owner told me that the car sat basically unused from the late 90's until around 2007. Approximately 10 years. The carfax report reflects this as there is no registration records or mileage records during that period. I don't have the exact dates in front of me. Apparently a 2 was typed as a 3 or vise versa from the last registration in the late 90's to the first one after the unused period. This makes it appear that the care went from 13,??? miles to 12,???? miles when it didn't. The car still has a slight new car smell and I believe the back seats may not have ever been sat in as I was told by the previous owner. I have never had it in rain. Garage kept. I had a guy come drive the car recently and he has made a strong offer and said that he doesn't see how the mileage could have rolled over. I decided to list it once more before I decide on his offer as I see many high priced ads on these cars lately. It drives nice and tight. Drives better than a 1989 that I sold 2 years ago with a verified 5,700 original miles. The interior is in better shape than that car also. Tape deck works well and the sound system is great too. Sounds like the 80's. The car also had the original tires on when I bought it 2 years ago. I replaced them a few months after for safety. I planned to drive this car some and didn't want a blow out as the tires had some dry in the grooves. I have not ended up taking the time to drive this car like I thought I would. I changed the thermostat, alternator and battery since I purchased. Did I fuel injection system clean and replaced fuel filter. The thermostat was working but I wanted a lower temp for Texas. The car runs strong and shifts as it should. It feels more powerful than the 5,700 mileage '89 too. Both have the 5.7L. I have a 2015 ZL1 and the IROC-Z turns more heads by far. I am only selling because we have a 4th kid on the way and we need a van or something. Please text or call with any questions. I have bought and sold a few IROC-Z's on Ebay. Out of the 4 I have owned this a close 2nd in condition to a 1990 that I bought in 2003 that only had 5K miles. I'm sure that car is not in as good of shape as this one is today. I sold it 10 years ago. I will be very flexible with storing and coordinating transportation. There is some rust where the battery sits. I think one must have leaked at one time. Only visible if you remove the battery. No warranty, car sold as is. I have 2 local buyers trying to purchase in the 17K range. Therefore sale may end at anytime due to a local buyer producing funds. 801-660-7601 (Ren).
