Car description

Up for auction here is a 1937 Chevy Coupe Street Rod that was made to be driven. The car was built in the 90's, but is still a solid driving vehicle today. It has racked up almost 78K miles on it since it was completed, proving these are meant to be driven and not let to sit. This is a textbook street rod build which has been proven to work, and be super reliable.
Starting with the power train this has everything you would expect from a car from this era. It has a 350 SBC with a Tri Power setup that runs great. The carbs are setup to run the center 2 barrel at normal driving and then the other two engage when the pedal is pressed to the floor. There had been a complete Walker cooling system installed with the radiator, electric fan and shroud combo. The transmission is a 200R4 automatic overdrive that shifts just as it should. The rear axle is a 10 bolt with a 3:08 gear. This combination lets the car cruise right down the interstate with ease. It also has power steering, power brakes, disc brakes in the front and drum in the rear. Also a mustang II front cross member was installed so it drives as good as it runs. The rear end is setup on leaf springs with helper air bags if you want to adjust the height or if the trunk is loaded down. The wheels are 15" American Racing Torq Thrust's, with 205/65R15 tires in the front and 215/70R15 tires in the rear for that perfect street rod look. The tires have less than 1000 miles on them so they are like new.
The body is super solid and looks really good considering the mileage, and that it was built over 20 years ago. The body is nice and straight and the paint still shines great. There is absolutely no rust or rot at all. If I was in the market for a street rod I would consider a solid older one over a newer one because if it's held up this well over the years then you know it was done right. There are a couple of chips in the paint here and there but nothing too noticeableat all. Everything opens and closes as it should. The door handles have been shaved and now you just push the lock button on the doors to open it. They can also be locked to keep your stuff safe inside. All of the exterior lights have been upgraded to led and the headlights are halogens. There is also and underglow lights installed that light up green at night. The glass is in good shape and is slightly tinted, it also has a v-butt windshield. The gaskets are all in good condition and it doesn't leak any water or air. There is a bra and grille cover that is also included and is real nice for long trips for the bugs and rocks.
The interior is in good condition as well and most of it was done back in the 90's as well. The seats were just upgraded to a set from Teas Seats. They are very comfortable with tilt and sliders. The rest of it is still in good shape, and matches the exterior very well. It has a tilt steering column, electric window, A/C and heat. The air conditioning currently is not working because it needs new lines made. We never got around to doing this but everything else is there to make it work. It has billet inserts in the dash and also has Dakota Digital gauges installed. There's an am/fm/cassette player installed in a center console on the roof. The battery is located behind the drivers seat. There are two small storage places behind each seat and this is where it's hidden. Also located there is the electric shutoff switch and a compressor for the rear air bags.
Overall this is just a super solid street rod that you can hop in and drive across the country if you wanted.
