Car description |

I am selling this for a friend. Bill is 88 years old and he says as long as you have a project going on you go on! I did all the work for him and can answer the questions for him. If you are really interested in talking with him I can give you his number and you can speak with him.
Since the car was restored the car may have 500 miles on it. When we got done with it he was scared to drive it because it did turn out nice. There where 1,200 Black Knights made in 1978 and this is one of them. I have had the Vin number checked out. Bill bought the car locally and it had the right decals on it. During the restoration the car did not have the original 350 put back in it. Bill opted for a HO 305. This car is not a dog and is very respectable. As you can see great attention was given to make sure this car was restored with the respect it deserves. All the way down to it's seat belt levers located in the doors, and yes they work! The car does have a little beefier stance than stock. Bill wanted it this way. I agree it does look nice and handles well. New interior pieces where installed with some reconditioned parts. Great attention was given to the spare tire area with insulation and a light installed to help see at night. The brakes and wiring harness was all restored correctly and back to 1978 standards. As with all El Caminos the bed was a huge burden as it was used. I decide to Line-X the box and I am very glad we did so. It looks nice for the problem that was in front of us. The truck has airshocks on it with shock extenders on it. The car has undercoating on it.The A/C was restored and works! The cruise control was restored and works! There are aftermarket headlights from JC Whitney that are blacked out but go clear when the lights are on! Yes DOT Approved! The car has an original GM Radio with that authentic 8 Track available to listen to,Onthose special 8 tracks you have laying around. Fun car to drive and you get a lot of looks and compliments! BESIDES WHAT OTHER CAN YOU DRIVE THAT WILL ALWAYS START AN ARGUMENT! IS IT A CAR OR A TRUCK?
Good luck bidding and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask them. I will do my best to answer them. Car is sold AS-IS WHERE-IS. No Warrantees. Buyer is responsible forshipping or Pick up.
