1964 Chevrolet C10 Long Bed Step Side Pickup.
History:I am the third owner- currently stationed at Fort Campbell KY home of the 101st Airborne.
The original owner(proof by documentation) PFC Grover P. Rigby was born on June 3rd, 1923 and died on January 13th, 2001 at the age of 77. Grover was buried at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Forest, Mississippi. He was a veteran assigned to 101st Airborne who (during World War II) parachuted into Normandy!
He enlisted 15 September 1943Army Serial Number 34872907Enlistment station: Shelby MississippiPeriod of enlistment: duration of the war + 6 months
He last reregistered this vehicle 11AUG1995*****************************************All numbers matchingOriginal inline 6 cylinder original 3 on tree column shift original transmission.Original 1BBL carb.-Color is not original (Pearl Aqua Teal) factory color is light green with Gold interior(not white).
Key original for-door glove box - and ignition
New- cap rotor plugs points wire coil-Master cylinder-All 4 wheel cylinders and brake shoes.-New clutch- New Under bed gas tank, sending unit, & manual fuel pump- New Smoothies- New interior--carpet--seatcover--door sill plates--door gaskets-- driver side door strap-Windshield and windshield gasket-Radiator--upper and lower hoses--thermostat-intake and exhaust manifold gaskets- wood(only tongue grove - not NOS)-rear view mirror and mirror arm-rear tail lights-rear truck bed back
Working-Manual choke-Turn Signals-Brakes and brake lights-High low beam-Heater-windshield wipers
Not working-interior light-emergency brake-factory radio-passenger side window (difficult to crank down)-driver side vent window does not have a lock.-fuel gauge does not work properly( Full tank, yet dash gauge reads 1/2)
Car drives shifts smooth runs well. Legal to drive on military post passed vehicle inspection
Recommend replacing carburetor - difficult to start in cold weather.Steering wheel has a little playChassis has no rot nor signs of any frame damageRecommend replacing side rails for bed. Recommend replacing starter (occasional solenoid will not engage)
Have rear bumper (driver mount destroyed pulling farm equipment) mount needs welding.
