Car description

This is a 1949 Chevy 3100 series truck that has been mounted to a 1972 C10 Chevy truck frame. It has a 70's model 454 chevy big block engine and th400 automatic 3 speed transmission. Power steering. Runs and drives! I have videos posted below of a walk around of the truck and also me driving the truck through town. 70 pictures posted below of condition! Throughout this posting I am going to try to represent this truck and its condition to best of my knowledge. This is no show truck and would take a lot of little work to get it there, but it is a very cool driver that looks good and has a lot of character the way it sits. I would consider this truck more of a rat rod than an original truck, the only thing 1949 about it is the original body! This may not be the best truck for someone looking to make an all original truck again. However, it is perfect for a hot-rod enthusiast, someone looking to use it for advertisement, or someone just looking for a cool driver they can take out on the weekends and enjoy!

Mechanically the truck is in good shape regarding the engine and transmission. Pump the gas pedal 2 times on a cold start and she fires right up. No engine ticks, knocks, or weird noises. Over the past couple months I have replaced all the gaskets in the motor and transmission because it had several small leaks that had developed over time. I installed new intake manifold gaskets, rubber valve cover gaskets, 1 piece oil pan gasket, exhaust manifold gaskets and all that fixed the oil leaks. Transmission got all new exterior seal kit. I have noticed the rear most seal in the tail housing of the transmission still leaks a tiny drop every now and then. This could be because I didn't get the seal completely seated properly, I have messed with it since its just a tiny drop every now and then. Brakes have been completely re-done and work nicely. New brake booster, master cylinder, brake proportioning valve, 2 new front calipers, and 2 new brake hoses in the front. Front rotors are a bit warped so those could use some attention in the future but isn't something that affects the braking at this point in time. Oil pressure gauge, gas gauge, and coolant temp gauge all work. No speedometer, turn signals, working windshield wipers at this time. Both headlights high beam and low beam work. Tail lights work. Tires have good tread but not all 4 are matching. Rear tires match each other, front tires match each other. Truck steers and drives pretty good but pulls a bit to one side of the road when driving, nothing major. Could probably use an alignment and the wheels/tire balanced. As you can see above it could still use a few finishing touches to be a really nice driver although it still runs and drives good like it sits. Could use the spark plug wires organized a bit better. Missing dust cover for transmission. All glass looks original, cracks in windshield/driver glass/passenger glass. 3 rear windows are free of cracks. The cracks or just cosmetic and add to the overall cool factor! (in my opinion)

Exterior of the truck as far as I can tell is all original steel. Paint is a single stage paint and looks to be around 30 years old. Lots of small scratches, nicks in paint. Several small dings and imperfections. Only major body damage is between the drivers door and front fender where it looks like the wind caught the door and swung it open too far (see pictures). It does not have the original front or rear bumpers on it. The only rust I can find on the truck is on the cab corners and bottom of the cab (floor pans) like all these trucks seem to have. A previous owner has mounting the cab to the frame using their own homemade mounts. Its not very pretty to look at, but it is solid and does the job.

Interior was also restored around the time it was painted. Has different seat that was upholstered nicely to match the rest of the interior. Someone has welded sheet metal over the original floor pans and put an extra rubber mat on top so they are very solid. None of the original gauges work at this time. No AC and no heat. Still has the original defrost/blower motor underneath the dash that does work but it is unhooked right now.

If you have ANY QUESTIONS AT ALL please let me know and look at ALL PICTURES in the description prior to bidding. If you do not have full intentions on buying this truck or don't have the immediate funds available PLEASE DO NOT BID. I am located in Conway, Arkansas so you must pickup or make any shipping arrangements yourself. Selling AS IS, NO RETURNS. Clean Arkansas title in hand. Original VIN tag is no longer on the truck, I figure it was removed when it was last restored 30 years ago. You can message me on here or for fastest response give me a call/text at 870-214-0135. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as I do have this truck listed for sale locally as well. God bless and happy bidding!
