Car description |
---|
For your consideration I have a 1960 Chevy Impala Coupe 2 Door with a rare 348 Big Block engine on arolling chassis. My father has acquired this vehicle twenty years ago and has worked on it. Now he has retired and his lifetime project has to go to someone else to finish.
We have stripped a whole car about twenty years ago and started from cleaning the surface rust/paint and preparing for a whole frame off restoration. In the process we have done the following:
Engine:
Rebuilt a whole engine professionally including: Block Boring, Crank haft reground,New Camshaft,New Pistons ( dome pistons 11.5:1 ratio with rings), Head Valve Conversion (with new unleaded valves), Valve seats and guides, new lifters and all bearings, new oil pump and chain. All necessary engine gaskets. You will see most of these in the pictures as they are part of the description.
Note: Engine has not been put back together but all parts are there (Water pump will need to be rebuilt).
The Body:
There are all body parts the vehicle needs to have: Doors, hoo, trunk and all attachments car came with. Body panels and the body have been cleaned and kept stored in garage for all these years. Other parts were stored inside the house my parents lived in. One side of the car had a quarter panel replaced. The other side was cut out but the panel is included along with a floor pans and rocker panels. All these panel replacements were purchased twenty years ago and are USA made out of thick sheet metal. No expenses were spared when it came to replacement parts for body or engine.
Transmission: transmission is a two speed Power glide. I suggest transmission be rebuilt since it sat for many years.
Interior: Seats, Trim and panel parts are there, however; you will need to rebuild the interior with all new seat materials and panels (see the pictures)
Trim and chrome: This Impala has about 98-99% complete trim and chrome parts. It might be missing hood letters and one or two fender stripes.
The vehicle was last registered in North Dakota 1974. We had the original title issued 1969 in North Dakota. Body has the original tags on the door jam and firewall. During the move last July my parents accidentally threw away many documents including this original title. The vehicle will come with a bill of sale and if needed notarized. I had tried with a DMV to get the records but was told it was too old and new owner would need to apply for the new title. I guarantee my father to be the owner of the vehicle for the last 20 years.
Currently, Vehicle is stored in Fargo, North Dakota and the new owner will need to arrange the transport and all costs associated.
Immediate deposit of $1000 is required to hold the vehicle. Successful bidder has 7 days to pick up the vehicle from the end of the auction.
Currently I am stationed overseas and might not respond to your questions right away due to a time difference. None the less, I will respond with the best of my knowledge.
