We have owned this car since June 22, 1995. The car had a repaint in the original color but in (Basecoat/Clearcoat). and new upolstery and carpeting before we bought it. The rear from the door jam back was repainted in 2001 by a top notch resoration shop. Paint is still very good with a few flaws.1964 was the second year Air Conditioning was available in a Corvette. According to the Complete Corvette Restoration & Technical Guide Vol.2, only 181 Convertibles with 300HP and Powerglide were made out of 22,229 total cars produced that year. They made more Fuel injected Vettes that year. I always felt Factory Ac C-2 Vettes will be the next in demand.I have the Original Owners Manual and the Original Owners Protection Plan Book. This book has the original owner, Del. Date (Aug 21, 1964), Dealership (Slaton Chevrolet in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.) Key #, & engine Number. Block was surfaced when it was rebuilt and the numbers were removed. The numbers in the book can be used to restamp the block. I believe both NCRS and Bloomington allow for restamping. Vin Plate data Body S10592, Paint 912AA (Silver Blue), Trim 490BB Blue, Style 64-867 (Convertible), Time Built J-26 (June 26, 1964).I have replaced some of the AC components (Hoses, Compressor and Dryer). AC still does not work. I think its in the wiring or vacuum lines. Original AC compressor and new vacuum hoses included with car.
