Car description |
---|
I bought this car with the intention of building itfor next years Mecum auction in Kissimmee,Fl but I do not have the time to devote to it and decided to move it on. The guy I bought it from said it wasan RS/Z28 but the Z's were very hard to verify in '68 without a build sheet which I do not have so I can't swear to it. If it is not a real Z somebody found some very Z specific parts like the correct type block, intake, heads and a full set ofnewGM Pink rods for a 302. It also has a Muncie 4 speed transmission and had a 12 bolt posi that was regretfully stolen from behind the shop so it now has a 10 bolt in it for rolling purposes. The real quality of this project can be seen in the metal work. Both 1/4 panels were replaced with NOS parts as was the tail pan and full floor board. All though not correct for a '68 Z/28 it has an NOS cowl induction hood that look to average $2000 on line. There are many NOS parts that go with it along withlots of original parts to the car. The original color was Sea Foam Green and also has factory tilt steering. This will be a high end car whendone. Please call with any questions before bidding. Thanks for looking and good luck !!
