1985 Chevrolet K10 half-ton long bed pickup for sale - looking for a new home.
This is a very clean example of a beautiful squarebody. I purchased this truck several months ago hoping to spend time and money on it, but just haven't had a spare moment to touch it. The way you see it now is exactly how it was when I picked it up; I've literally not done one thing to it other than wash the dust off, as it's been sitting under my pole barn for several months. I've not changed the oil, charged the battery, changed the spark plugs - NOTHING - except wash her up and snap a few pics. What you're seeing is exactly how she was when I picked her up.
This truck is a 305 V8, TH700R4 automatic overdrive transmission. Currently showing 128,449 miles. Still wearing factory quadrajet carb as well as OEM intake/exhaust manifolds. Starts right up every time, and will hit the high idle until she's warmed up, then will settle down and just purr. Looks like the factory muffler that's on the truck, and it's showing wear and I can hear some small exhaust leaks at the muffler. Locking tool box is included with the truck.
Truck is bone stock with the exception of an older aftermarket stereo that's not installed; it's just sitting in the dash at the moment. Seat looks to be original, and is in decent condition save for some tears along the driver's side lower section. Dash has several cracks under the dash mat, and windshield has several large cracks in it and should be replaced.
Body is very straight, but does have rust along the right (passenger) side. The rear wheel well and the right cab corner have visible rust, as does the right passenger floorboard. The driver's floorboard appears to be solid, as well as the entire driver's side. I've seen no rust along the driver's side of the vehicle. The only real dent is on the nose, on the upper passenger side where the hood meets the fender. See the pics for more details there. The paint is in fair condition, and shines up nicely after a bath, but has several surface imperfections that are very noticeable. The paint on the hood and roof is in really poor condition, and is quite sun faded. The right rear of the bed has many areas where the paint is peeled off (see the photos) and there are other spots where there are marks/scuffs/scratches in the paint. The body moulding is missing many pieces along the length of both sides.
Tires have excellent tread, but look to be older and weather-checked with cracks along the sidewalls and an occasional chunk out of the sidewall of the tire. The right rear tire doesn't match the other tires (size and manufacturer matches, but tread pattern does not). I would not plan on driving these tires very far; they'll need replaced to be road worthy at highway speed in my opinion. For knockin' around town they'll be fine, but for any distance/speed they'll need replaced.
The trucks starts right up, runs well, and stops just as it should. HOWEVER: the transmission is starting to slip, and that's going to need addressed. Might be a simple fix, might not be - I have no idea. The truck is capable of running up and down the road for short distances (that's all I've done with it - so I know it will do that!) - but anything more than that and you should plan on having it towed/trailered/shipped. It might be fine to drive it for hundreds of miles - but might not.....and I have no idea. Between the tires and transmission, I would aim for a trailer - unless you're close to me.
Please take a peek at the pics and let me know if you have questions. I'm happy to tell you all that I know about the truck.
I have a clean, clear, Colorado title in my name. Transfer of title will be seamless.
