The Toy Barn of Dublin Presents: 1988 Chevrolet Corvette 35th Anniversary Edition #845 Low miles. excellent condition. and rare! The Toy Barn is thrilled to offer this recent trade in here at our facility and latest addition to the Corvette stable. this genuine 35th Anniversary Corvette #845 of only 2050 built in 1988. This car has only 51k miles. and it runs. drives. sounds. and looks great. The 35th Anniversary Corvette was a numbered car. offered in triple white. and it had it's own special badges. a 245 horsepower V8. and serious 80's-era aesthetic appeal. This is a great example of a great car. and it's ready for to be driven. collected. and enjoyed. The Exterior: The paint is glossy and shows very well. I can tell at some point it's received a repaint. and the match is appropriate and color and quality is correct. There is no stand out damage or issues that take away from it's finish; it looks really nice. The wheels are bright white and damage free and look great as well. and the tires are old-school Goodyear Eagle GS-C 's with most of their tread life remaining. The transparent roof is excellent as well. and overall this car's exterior can easily represent itself very well and turn heads. maybe even win a trophy or two at local car shows and cruise ins. not to mention a Sunday afternoon drive. The Interior: On the inside. there are several positive aspects worth mentioning. The leather is still very presentable. though it's not as "bright white" as it may have been in it's earlier years. Still. not overly worn. not cracked or ripped up. and the seats still feel comfortable. BOTH power seats operate properly with all movement positions. AND the side bolsters also work on both seats. The lumbar supports do not. The center console lid and the steering wheel both look excellent. and I believe have been updated/replaced at some point. The door panels look great. the center console still has the number plaque intact and the engine specs plaque. The carpet and dash are both excellent with no stand out issues or excessive wear. Finally. I'm pleased to say that nearly everything inside works: The windows roll up and down quickly. the Delco Bose radio still works (I didn't try the cassette). all of the gauges worked and seemed to operate properly. the A/C blew cold and the heat was hot (though the digital temp display did not light up. the unit itself still worked great including fan speed controls). Driving Impressions: Out on the road. this Corvette was surprisingly strong. the engine pulled hard and felt great. the transmission shifted crisp and the car drove straight and solid. I've been in and out of nearly everything at this point in my driving history. and have sold several late model 'Vettes over the past few years. I genuinely was surprised by how good this car feels and how strong it was. This is simply a solid. good looking. well cared for Corvette that will certainly make it's next owner happy. History: This Corvette was a trade in here at our store towards a '96 Collector's Edition Corvette. This was a Texas and eventually Louisiana car for it's full life. and the previous owner bought the car in 1999. driving it sparingly over the years while updating things here and there. This was mainly his local car show car. and he upgraded to the Collector's Ed with the intention to do the same. We delivered his new Vette to him and transported this one back last month. and it's the first one I've seen like it in quite a while. The title is clean and clear. and the miles are actual. though the Carfax report reflects an odometer issue that I would be glad to clarify for anyone who would like an explanation (see link below).
