Car description |

I have for sale a rare Golden Anniversary edition 1962 Chevy Impala SS, paint code 927, trim code 891. From what I understand, paint code 927 was used on many cars however only around 300-350 of these cars produced where actually Golden Anniversary editions. An online search of Hemmings Golden Gazelle has some great information on this model.
We had purchased this car for our private collection a few months back to eventually restore back to original, however, my husband was just diagnosed with cancer and we have to sell. We own an auto body shop doing restorations and would not have purchased it if we did not thinkthat it was a salvageable vehicle. Please look at these pictures carefully and ask questions. I will answer them to the best of my ability.
As far as the condition of the car, it is in very good condition considering the year, quite solid. It will definitely need a new trunk pan. As far as the floor pans are concerned, I'm not really sure. We did not have a chance to get into it that far. All the trim seems to be there, has some dings and dents and someone had put a screw through the passenger side front door molding but if your restoring to show quality it would be redone anyway. It still has all the original machine turned insets. Inner doors, hood, and trunk lip have some surface rust. I am not sure if this isthe original motor or not, casting #3849853 which is a 1957-1966 283ci V8. I believe that this car originally was a manual transmission on the column. I'm not sure what the transmission is in it now but it has been changed to an automatic, We have never had it running so honestly do not know if it will have to be gone through. Some of the larger things that are missing are the front and rear bumpers, grille, cowel, one headlight bucket assembly with directional, as well as some engineaccessories such as battery andradiator.
Vehicle has bonded title and is being sold as is. Customer responsible for shipping. Please call or text me for additional information only if you are interested in purchasing as I'm sure I will be very busy with my husband and his treatments. My cell phone is 608-572-2695. Please contact me between 8:00 am-8:00 pm CST. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding. Bid high and bid often!
