1965 Corvette Stingray
Thank you for taking a look at our very original 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible, VIN # 194675S111507. Originally optioned as an L75 327 (300HP) and Muncie M20 4 speed transmission with 3:36 Posi rear axle, we have verified that the car still has a numbers matching drivetrain and have worked to verify the originality of the rest of the car. Body by A.O. Smith, built on February 24, 1965 and final assembly on March 4, 1965 this was a Saint Louis, Missouri built Corvette! Originally painted Nassau Blue with Blue Vinyl interior, the car was optioned with both soft and hard tops. What an incredible find! After an inspection of the mechanical systems, the car runs very well and sounds amazing through the complete NOS exhaust that we were able to source. The body is very straight, with the bonding strips showing across most of the car. Then there are the fun details such as the glass is date coded original as well as the T3 headlights on the car! We also replaced the tires with year appropriate gold line tires and cleaned up the original hubcaps. The whole car is showing its age with the class and beauty befitting a survivor C2 Corvette. As you can see from the information below, this is a very original and correct Corvette! Currently, the radiator is the correct part number but not date correct and the shocks work properly but are not the correct casting or style that came on the car originally. The calipers are all Delco Remy but are not the correct casting number that came on the car originally. The radio and clock are correct and present but are not currently working, as well as the interior lights and glove box light. Finally, we replaced the power antenna with a newer design that is functional and looks correct from the outside. (We retained the original antenna should you decide to have it rebuilt!) This C2 Corvette is begging to be added to the collection of an enthusiast that will share it with the public and keep it on the road. The patina of the paint which we believe could be mostly or completely original) is very fun to see in person and you can feel the authenticity of the car throughout. Please contact us with any questions regarding the condition of any specific items or if you would like to see the car in person!
