Car description |
---|
I am selling a beautiful 1969 Chevy Camaro. Originally a California car, it was assembled in GM's Los Angeles plant and then spent its life in San Francisco until 2013 when it came here to NY.The engine is a 350 small block V8 with a brand new Holley carburetor and backed by a TH350 automatic transmission. It was built with a mild cam that sounds great at idle. Very reliable - starts right up every time, idles smooth, runs, drives and stops very nicely. The dual exhaust makes it sound like a real muscle car should, without being obnoxious or annoying at all. It has 15" Rally Wheels with good tires.Always stored indoors, never rotted or rusted - all the body panels and floor/trunk pans are original to the car and in phenomenal shape, as to be expected from a car which spent its life in dry 90 degree weather. The body is nice and straight, all the gaps are good and everything opens and closes nicely. The Hugger Orange paint with White Rally Stripes looks great, shines beautifully, and shows really well.Chrome and other trim are in good shape too.It does have some very minor imperfections from age and use since it does get driven around and enjoyed in nice weather. The black interior is in great shape as well, showing little to no wear. The seats and door panels are in good shape with no rips or tears, the center console looks great with the horseshoe/staple shifter, dashboard and dash pad are in great shape, as well as the headliner, and carpet are like new. The floor mats are custom embroidered and made to fit a 69 Camaro precisely. The gauge cluster is carbon fiber and has all new AutoMeter gauges with electronic sending units. All the lights, windows, locks, etc... work as they should. Overall it is a really great car, and rare to find such a perfectly solid Camaro on the East Coast. Not a perfect show or museum car but something you can to drive to shows or enjoy on the weekends, and be proud to own for many years to come.
