Car description

1994 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Polo Green Automatic Bose stereo system, Runs Great
I purchased this beautywith the intentions of keeping it and making her back perfect over time. However due to more important situations at hand close to me it is time to part with her. I am going to explain all that is wrong that i know. this is a 23 year old sports car so she has truly survived. but she will need attention. I only hope you appreciate my intentions of revealing everything before you arrive. I have flown a thousand miles before to buy a car and flew home an hour later so I know how that feels. Please ask questions andI have much more photos available to send to you if you message me. I shopped for a corvette before finding this one and let me tell you...they all have problems. even low mileage ones have ghosts and quirks. Make sure when your shopping to ask when has the optispark been changed and ask for receipts. this part is famously the Achillesheel of this car and is VERY expensive to pay someone to replace it. If you do it yourself it is a weekend project. I have been working on vehicles my whole life as a hobby. So I tackled it myself.
I have replaced the following parts and have receipts:
1. New Optispark distributor from NAPA Auto parts2. New Brake booster from Oreilly Auto parts3. New Antifreeze.4. New Ignition control module (cant find receipt)5. recent oil and filter change
The cons about the car are as follows:
1. Rubber seals need replaced around doors and convertible top (see pics) The previous owner left it outside when he purchased his new corvette and the carpets are stained from water leaking in (see pics). He told me a torrentialdownpour happened while his new girl was all dry in his garage. I garage kept it until recently and a rain storm came when the car cover was off so i can tell you it will absolutelyneed weatherstripping. I have not tried to clean the carpets as that may make a huge difference.2. a/c needs repaired as it is not working3. center vent in dash above radio has broken plastic tabs and will fall out. I saw one on ebay for 20 bucks and should have bought it but waited and it was gone.4. bezel around speedo cluster is missing a screw.5. the driver door panel needs attention as it is loose but does stay attached.6. the paint is faded around the gas hatch and convertible top hatch (see pics)7. the digital dash cluster has been know to stop working before but it is a very intermittent problem as it has worked great for a long time now with no problems. i read online that this is a common problem as the connection in cluster gets corroded over the years.8. scratches and rubs on paint here and there ( see pics) and ask for more pics and I will email them to you.9. top is faded around window but decent shape (see pics)10. wheels have clear coat coming off (see pics)11. cruise control does not work12. paint on passenger door looks like it has some "blistering"?. i dont know about body work but someone threw that term out there. it still looks good but you can see flaws in it, the pictures dont show it. But in person if you get close to the door you can see these small imperfections. I will try to get pics to show it and just ask and i will send more pics.13. the black cover for cupholder and ashtray needs fixing but does still work
now to her positives....she....1. cranks up every time instantly. great oil pressure and great temp. Lots of power2. shifts flawlessly3. heat works ( and blend door works too)4. bose stereo sounds great (i have never tried the cd player)5. tires are matching and good shape with lots of tread.6. exhaust sounds awesome7. passes Georgia emissions no problem8. no check engine lights on9. Paint actually looks very shiny and clean (see pics for some areas with scratches and rubs)10. seats have been re upholsteredby previous owner11. convertible top mechanism works great12. all gauges work as they should13. headlamp motors work great14.does not use oil and does not smoke one bit15. very solid car on uneven roads. does not rattle like you would think a 90s vette would. very tight16. dash is in awesome shape17. Original owners manual18. clear Georgia title and passed emissions
I have priced parts for her and they are easily obtained for pretty fair prices. With a little work and little cash she would make a great investment as these are becoming more and more desirable every year. Please ask questions and I hope she goes to a good home as she deserves more attention than I can give. I will gladly assist the shipping company (if applicable) as far as being available to give them the car but all shipping costs are buyersresponsibility. I will be posting a video of the vette cranking, a walk around and driving online on y o u t u b e. so if you want to see it send me a message and I will give you the web address
