Car description |

1972 Chevrolet C10 Numbers Matching Cheyenne Super with under 35000 original documented miles. This is a TRUE SURVIVOR C-10. It had one repaint back in the 80’s to the factory dark olive poly (506) and white (521) two tone paint with upper and lower body trim.
For those who know these trucks will notice the woodgrain instrument bezel, wood grain glove box with chrome border (not reproduced), houndstooth seat with factory date tag hanging on back of August 23rd, 1971 verifying the originality (see pictures), chrome tailgate handle cover (72 super only, 71’s had chrome lever), glove box and fender emblems, and SPID sticker verifying the true “SUPER” option. For more clarification, in 1971 supers were labeled custom sport truck with the SPID options code YE9. In 1972, they labeled it Cheyenne Super Equipment. By now, you see this truck isn’t a clone. This C10 has matching title, door jam VIN tag, SPID sticker, and frame VIN stamp. It is a true numbers matching period correct truck out of the Flint, Michigan GM plant.
As you will see, this super does not have the V8 350 emblem under the front fender turn signals verifying the factory 307. 307’s did not have a fender emblem. If you are familiar with or research the 307 you will learn that it is not a race engine, but a very smooth bulletproof fuel efficient V8 (as could be back then). I was very impressed how smooth this engine runs. It has a very smooth turbo 350, with the original intake and carburetor. It does have a new fuel tank, steering wheel, and carpet with jute pad and sound deadener. The floors were solid as could be when the carpet was replaced in early December 2016. The doors and dash are not cut for speakers or an aftermarket head unit. The tires are like new 275/60/15. It has the factory spare wheel under the bed and I do have a set of four white factory steel wheels and wheel covers that are available.
This Cheyenne Super is very solid and has the original seat cover, tire jack, and seat tag on back of the frame. All the gauges, lights, horn, factory AM and dealer installed FM modulator, and speaker function properly. The turns signal cancellation still works.
This is a rare find that I hope will end up joining a collector’s fleet. I do have the original olive steering wheel (cracked) and carpet for the new owner if they would like it. It does have dual exhaust that exits the rear of the truck. It is currently antique titled with mileage verification in PA. It would be very difficult to find another low-mileage near stock C10 with the factory options as this one. If you are looking for an original truck, this is it. You don’t get too many chances to own one of these in this condition that isn’t all hacked up. As most know, this is one of only two years for the Super package and the final year for the 2nd generation C10’s.

I'll address some questions coming in.-Yes, it is a TRUE SHORT BED, model # CE10734 is 115" short wheel base. The frame was not cut. -The 307 is factory.-The truck was two-family owned, with thelast family having since the early 80'sprior to me purchasing. -I am selling it because I am a fan of the Ochre color, and I have found one I'm interested in. I did not see it worth it to paint this one due to its originality.My2nd favorite color is the medium olive.I love these trucks, I feel Iowe it to this one to let it alone. I know, that is strange to some. -It does not have AC. -No, all Cheyenne Supers do not have AC and tilt wheel. You can do your own research beyond my explanation above. The Cheyenne Super wasChevrolet's top of the lineappearance package.Almost all items can be cloned with the exception of the glove box door trim. You could get a base model with AC, and a Super without. These trucks could be ordered with multiple options. -I can supply a cellpicture of the frame VIN stamp verifying the authenticity. -If the listing is ended, it sold.
