Car description |
---|
1960 2dr hardtop impala. This is a very complete, very good driving hot rod. These cars are getting harder and harder to find and there's nothing like cruising down the road in this classic. This was my dream car and I feel lucky to have owned it, but unfortunatley life happens and my family comes first so I am forced to sell.
It has a 350/TH350 with power steering and drums on all four corners. It runs like a top and will cruise anywhere. The gauges work, but the fuel gauge reads 1/4 lower than the actual fuel level. The gauge lights don't work at night. The wipers don't work either, but I never took the time to trouble shoot it as I never drove the car in the rain or ever planned to. The car comes with brand new door seals.
The interior is fresh with new seat covers, carpet and headliner. The paint looks good for a driver, but it has its blemishes. I've included pictures of the blemishes. All of the trim is complete and in good shape, but could use a polishing when/ if you repaint it. This Impala is perfect for parades and is a big hit at any cruise in. The bumpers are straight, but could be rechromed if you had the desire.
The floors under the rear seat have been patched previously. I discovered this when I installed the seat belts. The windows roll up and down beautifully and the doors close just like they did when they came from the factory.
I've had the Impala since June, I purchased it out of SC. The car drives great and sounds great through the dual exhaust. I've driven it 70mph down the freeway without any worries. You could drive it across country tomorrow.
You won't find a more complete car for the price. This would be a great candidate for a bagged lead sled/ bubble top. I planned on going the resto mod route with an LS1, but never got the chance.
I can send additional pictures upon request. Please ask any and all questions. I encourage you to come look at this car in person if you are able. I am proud of my 100% feedback and strive to keep it that way so bid with confidence.
A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction's close and full payment is due within 7 days. If you have negative feedback or less than 10 transactions on ebay please contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. I have been burned by scammers too many times before.
I encourage you to come look at the car in person if you are able. It is located in Carthage, NC. I welcome any inspectors you want to hire as well.
Study the pictures carefully and ask any questions you have, Ihavetried to includeeverything, but I'm sure I'm missing something.I can help load if you hire a shipper. The reserve is set low because I need to sell. I am not opposed to setting up a buy it now price should the right offer come in, so bid to win! Thanks for looking and good luck.

I expect to have a NC Title in my name by the end of the auction. Being that this was an out of state car (from South Carolina), I had to go through a 3 month process with the NC state DMV and it's inspectors. I am now just waiting on Raleigh to print and send it.

****** I recieved a request for pictures of the repaired area under the rear seat. After putting the car up on jack stands and upon closer inspection I discovered that the entire floor pan has been replaced. The new floor pan was installed over the old one. This not the preferred method of repair, but nonetheless the floor is still solid and waterproof and can be driven for years to come. I still would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.
In light of this recent discovery, I have lowered my reserve/ asking price. If you are looking for a show car, this one isn't for you. If you are looking for a good looking and complete classic that you can cruise as is or customize and restore as you go, but don't have $30k to spend, then this Impala is the one. Don't miss your chance to own one of the most beautiful cars ever created.
I belive in complete honesty when selling cars online which is why when I list things I write essays, but also why I have 100% positive feedback.
If you have questions and would like to talk on the phone please send me a message with your number and a good time to call.
