Car description

For sale is my 1989 Chevrolet Shorty Van. This is one I purchased for myself, but sadly we are downsizing majorly and I have to sell some toys, so here it is.I'll start by saying this thing is a head turner. When we take this van out its a crowd pleaser and gets a ton of attention from everyone! We had it on the lift for inspection and there is not a spot of rust on this baby. Here are some of the recent things we did.

  • Brand new Tires and Brand New Cragar Wheels 15x7 Front & 15x10 Rear
  • Those 295 rear tires give it a mean stance!
  • New plugs, Wires, Distributor Cap, Rotor, Thermostat, EGR Valve.
  • The TBI Throttle body was professionally rebuilt and the injectors were serviced as well as a stronger pressure regulator spring to maintain proper fuel pressure.
  • Brand new AC Delco in tank fuel pump and sock. AC Delco Fuel Filter
  • Brand new wheel bearings and wheel bearing seals.
  • Front end alignment and servicing of grease fittings.
  • Transmission filter and fluid flush
  • Rear Differential fluid was changed. (I only use Mobil-1) in the engine and rear end.
  • Brand new exhaust from the header pipes back to the side pipes.
  • New weather stripping for the windows and doors, but I haven't installed them yet.
  • Brand New Alpine Speakers and Alpine Bluetooth stereo system.
  • New Grant Steering wheel.

Again this baby has a ton of recent work, but given the age still needs love. I'll go over some of the stuff I have found that I haven't rectified yet. Its starting to leak coolant, I haven't looked yet to see if its a hose or radiator, but it’s coming from the rad area. The truck was repainted a few years ago and it looks good from a few feet away, but it’s definitely not a show paint job. I would repaint it for a show truck. It seems to be burning oil out of one of the right side cylinders, mechanic said it needs a valve guide seal. We also checked the engine code and was told it could use a reflash or chip Since the fuel pump it says fuel pressure high, but i'm told this is normal with a new pump.It doesn't really bother me I just wanted to note it. I was going to install a ZZ4 Crate engine eventually, So I just keep an eye on the oil and make sure I change it at 3k mile intervals. The upper ball joints have minor play, the alignment shop said they should be fine for a while, but I wanted to note that. Again i'm trying to disclose any info I have on this truck. I know how hard it is to buy a vehicle online. I highly suggest you come look at this baby in person and decide if this is the one for you. I will gladly allow your mechanic to take a look and inspect for himself. Sold As-Is, Where is. No Warranty. Clean Title.
