Grab your favorite 8-track and check this beauty out!!!
It's back from the shop!!! Ditched the running boards and put side pipes on her!!! She's a real head turner now.
Up for sale is a 1978 Chevy Custom G20 van. This thing is like a camper. More room than a VW bus, but just as stylish.
Like a pontoon for the road!!! This thing is comfy and stylish for the whole family!!
I just bought this van in the beginning of November. I got it in Wisconsin and drove it home to Indiana with zero issues. This thing is solid and does everything it is suppose to do, except the AC doesn't work. It is like entering into a time machine to the 70's. I bought this from the original owner, that bought the van brand new in 1978, and owned it until I bought in November 2016. It has 74,345 (going up) miles on it as of now.
Since I have had it I have done:-New front brakes-Front coil springs-transmission mount-rear universal joint-rear differential seal-transmission seal-oil change-transmission fluid change-side pipesI have done a few other things I have all the paperwork for the work. This thing is ready to roll. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.
It has newer:-plugs-plug wires-all four shocks-carburetor-water pump-distributor-and moreI have a lot of the original receipts and service notes from the original owner. This thing has been really taken care of its whole life and you can tell. This is a true find!!
The underneath is clean!!!
Please don't waste your time or mine with low balls.
Thanks for looking!!
The van is sold as-is and no warranties expressed or implied.
Buyer must make a $500 deposit to Paypal within 48 hours. The balance can be down via Paypal, cash, wire transfer, or cashiers check. The title and van will be held until I have all the money and checks cleared. The buyer is responsible for pick up or to arrange shipping.
The original advertisement:
"LET'S PARTY! 1978 Custom Chevy G20 van. Blue funky stripes and blue/brown shag interior and roof carpet in awesome shape. Rear table seats 4 and converts to 2 person bed. 4 captain chairs and second table complete the interior. 8 can roll in this thing with no problem. Overhead exhaust fan clears the air if the fuzz get too close. Ashtrays galore but this rig was never smoked in. At least 6 cup holders, over head "stained glass" look lights. Interior coach lights and small side windows in the rear quarters. Grandpa always said "never buy a car you can't sleep in, because you never know.." He was right on with this 1978 Time Machine. Grandma loved the spray paint to keep this shaggin' wagon looking good. This van-go spells good times and always gets a thumbs up rolling down the road.
Mechanic has gone through and it's ready to roll anywhere. I've put about 1000 miles on since it came out of mothballs in August. All the tire rubber is good and it's solid and straight. I even think the the stereo is kicking for 1978. Grandma is 92 now and she needs this gone. This is a bummer, I wish I had the room but it has to go to the next ex-hippie."
