We bought a truck from a retired employee of Phillips 66, and he threw this truck in on the deal and we didn't need it. It's a 1953 Chevrolet pickup, it is a 3/4 ton 8 lug truck. Everything is the same on a 3/4 ton as a 1/2 ton except the hubs and rear axle. 1/2 ton hubs and rear axle will swap out on this truck. It looks to have been an old welders truck, it still has the flatbed and the bottle rack on it near the headache rack. The truck looks to be pretty solid, has been painted several different times. It does look as though someone did some body work on it at some point in different places, cab corners, kick panels, and lower area between door and fender. The floors look pretty solid. The engine is a 235 later model engine, we did not try to turn it over, it is missing the carb but had a rag stuffed into it. The radiator was gone and was previously fitted for another radiator. The hood is not mounted, nor does it latch, someone unbolted the latch plate. No front bumper is included, it was cut off at some point. All the interior is still there, the seat still looks pretty decent. The key is still in the ignition and it has the foot starter and 4 speed manual. We have not checked the gauges or any other interior stuff. What you see is how we got it. The old truck would make a good project. 1 wheel is flat but we will get it aired up for transport. Other than some normal wear the truck is in pretty good shape with some regular dings.
