Car description |
---|
Here is a chance to own a wonderful example of Chevrolets “ Advance Design Series” 3100, half ton, short bed pick up truck.
Manufactured from 1947 through 1955, the fifty four model incorporated the one piece windshield, five window option and came with the uprated 235 in straight six as standard.
The photographs illustrate in some detail, the overall condition of the truck, but if you would like additional shots of specific areas, please contact me and I will forward direct.
In addition to the photographs, the following comments/observations may be helpful in convincing you of this vehicles authenticity.
ENGINE
Excellent condition. No oil consumed between changes and runs strong.
Currently fitted with a twin carb set up but easily returned to original single set up if required. (single carb and manifold included)
GEAR BOX
Three speed unit functions well and recently underwent overhaul of column shifter linkage.
GLASS
Excellent all around condition with minimal scratching and no discoloration.
INTERIOR
No major signs of wear. Dash panel is correct and functioning.
TIRES
All in good condition including the side mounted spare,
Additional wheel and tire included as per photograph.
BRAKES
Recent complete overhaul of hydraulic system including replacement of master cylinder.
BODY
No dents and shows little if any sign of rust.
PAINTWORK
Finished in a darker blue it is in very good condition. Maybe benefit from a professional buff and wax treatment to restore it to excellent.
OVERALL
I would describe this truck more as a “drive for enjoyment” vehicle, than a “Trailer Queen”. More than capable of a first place showing in local car shows and without doubt, a major head turner!
Should you own a small business, this would make an ideal mobile billboard.
I have tried to be honest in my description of this vehicle but I would highly recommend a personal review of its condition if at all possible. Should that be out of the question, please contact me directly via e mail through E Bay. I will be more than willing to fill in any blanks.
