Car description |
---|
a nice 1972 el camino custom 350 HEI crate motor with 4bbl edelbrock and powerglide transmission. purchased 3 years ago and has been my daily driver up until 2 months ago when i had to buy a more fuel efficient car. i have taken this car on 100 mile road trips, runs cool and has never left me stranded
i was told by the previous owner that the crate motor had around 15k on it, i put maybe 5k on it. im assuming its just a 200hp motor, block is painted crate motor black, seems to have a slight cam, maybe a truck motor. it was his daily driver as well commuting to work 35 miles away
the interior is in nice condition, no rips and headliner is very good. motor is strong and does not burn oil. bed is in great shape and has been rhino lined but the gate will not drop. body is straight and complete, chrome trim has pitting but is all there
there are 2 spots if rust on the lower rocker panels as shown in the last pics, i have new patch panels that i never cut in that will be included. the rest of the body is fairly straight but there are a few dings, paint has some oxidizing.
needs a new windshield wiper motor and the radio stopped working last month, i believe it to be a wiring issue.
things ive done to it since my ownership: new brakes all the way around, new calipers and rotors, full tune up, slight drop on moog springs, kyb shocks, rear sway bar, front end linkage/bushings, alignment, cragar wheels/ohtsu tires, tranny filter, new battery, dual exhaust with flowmasters and cross pipe, new door hinge pins.
you can hear the exhaust and listen to it idle if you search on youtube:350 SBC with very quiet single chamber mufflers
this car is by no means a show car but it is a great running, solid daily driver that sounds great and gets lots of looks
clear title, pink slip in hand
