Car description

THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 43,000 MILE NEVER ABUSED TRUCK THAT HAS NO RUST, NO RUST REPAIR AND NO VEIDENCE OF COLLISION.
You will not find another low mileage truck like this that isn't rusty and was never abused. All by itself this is an extremely hard to find Chevy snub nose cab over truck. Moreover, it is in outstanding condition for a 60 year old vehicle. It was city owned, always stored indoors, and well maintained for almost sixty years which accounts for the low mileage and excellent condition.
It is a 5600 (2 ton truck). I purchased it from a friend who lives in the Ashville NC area who bought it at a city auction. He did a frame off restoration on it last year. He said it was the easiest restoration he had ever done. He built it for highway travel so it drives at highway speeds, has no problem going up steep inclines at up to 70 MPH.
I bought it in March and drove it to Seattle cross country so there is no doubt of its reliability and dependability. Currently it has 3000 miles on the rebuild, which is the distance from Ashville to Seattle. My plans have changed for it so I haven't driven it since I drove it cross country which is why I am selling it.
Boy did I get a lot of attention in the process of driving it cross country! Every time I stopped for anything..... someone walked up to me and asked about it or commented on it. I got more thumbs up than I could count! This truck really gets a lot of attention; everyone loves it! This truck would make a great car hauler.
Here are the features:
Complete frame off restoration in 2015
Freshly built 400 horsepower 383 Stroker
5-speed manual transmission (out of a duce-and-a-half)
Original unrestored interior is in excellent condition
Original gauges are all there (gas gauge and speedo do not work)
New storage boxes have been added to each side
The bed is in better than new condition
The front grill, hood, bumper and sheet metal are all in excellent condition
All new LED exterior lighting
Dual air horns
Fog lights
New exhaust and stacks
It has a towing hitch in the back
It has a 14' deck covered in nonskid
Tires are new
The wheels have been restored
Note: The hood ornament says 3100, however it is definitely a 5600. The 3100 arrow was used because the 5600 ones were in poor condition and he had a better 3100's on the shelf. It has dual air horns installed however there is no compressor for them. The truck is located near to Seattle area code 98223. Please feel free to ask questions.
