No power steering, no power brakes.Engine, transmission and rear end all match.Correct side exhaust added. No-hit body. Excellentframe. Production date was 4/12/1965, and deliverd new to Gilbert Bros. Chevrolet in Montoursville, PA as verified by the NCRS Shipping Data Report. Information on theoriginal owner cannot be located, but the second owner had the car for approximately 25 years. The car ultimately went through a professional frame-off restoration in 2011, after which it was awarded an NCRS Top Flight blue ribbon (WI Chapter Cert. No. 40.5564.175) .I purchased the car in 2013. The car was awarded its AACA First Junior at Hershey in 2014, its AACA First Senior at Virginia Beach in 2015 and its AACA First Preservation at Millville, NJ this year. The car was a two-time nominee for the AACA National Award (2014, 2015). The chrome is show quality, and the paint shows no apparent flaws. The frame is powder-coated to the factory correct tone and finish. All underbody hardware is correctly finished and tagged. The white leather seatsand door panels show no wear or damage. The side windows are original and are in remarkable condition,. The front windshield is a service replacement with the (incorrect) tint line. The blue carpet is correct and like-new. Since I do drivethe car, thewhite top is not concourse, but very presentable -no wrinkles, and the rear plastic remains excellent show quality. All the guages work, as does the power antenna. The car drives and stops great, straight down the road without wander, despite riding on thecorrect Firestone DeLuxe Champion 7.75-15 bias ply tires. You will not over-heat in traffic.Although big blocks bring the big money, they are generally a p.i.t.a. to drive. You can enjoy this car, drive or show, without headaches for half the price of a big block of comparable quality. And believe me, the L79 is no slouch. I invite and encourage personal inspection of this outstanding Corvette by anyone. I do ask, however, that all inquiries be serious.I have posted a nice selection of recent photos, and will send others upon request. Again, however, serious inquiries only.I require a $1,000.00 deposit from winning bidder within 24 hours of close of auction. CallI have set averyrealistic reserve, but no one is going to steal it.(609) 977-6886 or e-mail (jcammarata1@verizon.net) John with any questions.
