I would call this a 10 footer as it looks great from 10 feet. When you get a little closer there are some imperfections in the paint, the drivers side door could use an adjustment to line up the seams. Small scuff here or there as this is a driver. But it wouldn't take much work to make it perfect. It runs fantastic as you can imagine. I had it appraised and the appraisal report came in at $24K. So here are the specs:
Engine Factory 375hp 350i motor with aluminum heads, 9.5:1 compressionWinters Racing Transmissions built 350 turbo automaticPower steeringPower brakesFront discVintage AirClassic style audio (I will also include new speakers and a new amp as well as sound insulation mats)
Super clean, straight and it will take you wherever you want to go reliably.
I am the second owner since it was redone but it started with the original 3100 frame that was bead blasted and treated with rust preventative then mated to the front clip from an 80s Z28 camaro (very east coast) that was cleaned and rebuilt with new bushings, bearings, spindles and coil over shocks.A refurbished GM 10 bolt rear was installed with new rear shocks and leaf springs and a 3.53 gear set so cruises the highways very smoothly.
When i received the truck it only had 1500 miles on the motor and i may have put another 1500 on. The gauges were swapped for vintage looking replica gauges but I do still have the originals which are included. Just need to connect the speedometer but all others work perfect.
The hood is a custom flip forward design. The wood is not perfect in the bed but is fully functional and still look good. The gas tank has been mounted under the bed. Tailgate works exactly as it should and is secured via chain.
I want to say it again, its not a $75000 show truck as its a driver but you can put some time and a few bucks in and who knows...
It looks black in pics but it is actually GM Ming Blue. Had one issue where the chrome belt pulley broke but had it replaced with a steel one as well as a new fan at a local hot rod shop so there are NO worries of overheating. I also had the transmission pan swapped for steel since the chrome pans aren't very trustworthy.
Inside the seat is the original bench that was refurbished and is very comfortable. With the gas tank out of the cab, it now offers plenty of leg room with the seat moved back.
If you have serious interest i can surely take some videos and i would welcome (and encourage) a personal showing or 3rd party inspection. As of today there are no known mechanical issues, electrical issues, functional or operation issues other than those explained above.
I will also supply the complete list of upgrades that I was provided when I purchased for your reference. I will also be having it cleaned and detailed in the next week or so.
OK that was a lot but i wanted to be as thorough as i could...if you see it in person, you may just leave with it...
