Car description |

I have always been skeptical when someone says they have a “Barnfind”, but this one actually is. It’s not a Cadillac or Ferrari, but it is a true barnfind.. I picked this up last week and was going to take it to an auction, but decided to try ebay..
This car was inherited from an estate from an individual that last had it licensed in Missouri in 2000.
1952 Chevy Deluxe 4 door Automatic PowerGlide
Car is original and complete. There has been some paint work over the years, but it is overall original.
216.5 ci runs great. Engine purrs like it did years ago. Steering is perfect and brakes are high. No front end issues. When driving the car handles great..Just drove it 40 miles last night at around 55 to 60 mph and the car handles very nicely
There appears to be no chrome missing. Some may need some attention, but most is in great shape. All the windows and glass are in great shape.
All gauges work, even the clock, which is rare.
The undercarriage and frame rails are solid. All around the fenders, quarterpanels and rockers below is very solid. It is apparent that the rust did not come from the road below, it came from rain settling in and around the chrome trim on the sides of the car and around the rear window molding, which is apparent in the pictures.
Doors open and close very smooth and tight. Good lines on car. It is apparent that it has never be hit hard anywhere.
Along with the car, I found the original sealed 1952 Chevy Advertisement poster, Three old maps from 1952 and early 50’s. Many receipts from the late 80’s and early 90’s confirming that it only had 85000 miles, which is presumed original.
The floor pans on the bottom side look fine but in the floorboard they have some surface rust, but it is not all the way through..
This car has a lot of potential, as it drives and handles perfect and is overall original and solid except for the rust around the chrome. The interior does need door panels and the carpet is old and dirty. There is new carpet that comes with the car. The headliner is there but it is filthy. The seats actually look good.
The key for the trunk and to lock the door did not come with the car, but I hope to get trunk open. Apparently it has not been opened in a couple decades.
I have not touched anything on the car. It remains exactly as it was from the farm.
Hinge pillars are solid. The is a little rust on the bottom of the rear door posts. Nothing major.
I have attempted to take pictures of all the bad areas. I would be glad to send more. Please understand that this car needs work, but it has lots of potential. Again, it runs great, drives great and is a great car to restore without have to tear it completely down to the frame
I tried to list the worst images. I have many more pictures and videos of the car running and driving on my YouTube page. Contact me if you have any further questions...
