Up for sale we have a 1957 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop. This car has undergone a full frame off restoration. The restoration was done to keep with the original feel of a '57 Bel Air. It sports killer eye appeal that is matched with a beautiful complement on the inside. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Bel Air. It's covered in the Calypso Cream and Polo White color combination. The paint is slick as a ribbon with the jams and inside the trunk being just as nice. When restored this body was pulled down to a bare hull, and what metal work was needed they did before reinstalling everything to ensure a good fit. Only then was everything pulled back apart for paint. All the glass in this '57 appears to be new as well as the seals. Also, all the window trim as well as the side stainless looks new. The weather stripping was replaced to ensure a good fit of the doors and trunk. As for the chrome it also appears to have been replaced with new. To keep with the classy look this Bel Air is riding on stock steel wheels with a set of spinner Hub Caps and Wide White Wall Tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior or the '57. On the inside it's done in the yellow and black color combo that provides the perfect complement to the exterior. It has the correct style with the bench seats that are vinyl with the black cloth inserts. Also, the door panels are done in the same scheme as the seats. The dash is done in the Calypso Cream to match the body and all looks stock down to the AM radio. To finish off the interior it has black carpet and a cream headliner.
Finally, we will look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it looks as it would have when new in '57. It features the 283/220HP V8 that's painted orange with the black trim. It has the correct generator to keep with the original feel. The inner fenders and firewall look great. The engine is mated to the Two Speed Powerglide Trans with the stock rear end. When you look under this Bel Air everything looks great being finely detailed with the Red Oxide Pans and Black Frame. Also you will see it has all new fuel liens and fuel tank with new bushings and barkes.
