GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! 1970 Chevrolet Caprice Hardtop Original 350/300 hp. 10.25:1 4 bbl carb. V8 Engine Original TH350 Transmission Power Steering Power Disc Brakes Factory Air Conditioned Remote Driver Side Mirror Vinyl Top Tinted glass Aftermarket Aluminum Wheels This is hard car to find, t seems the combination of the short production in 1970 coupled with the popularity of the sedan that few hardtops were built and survived. This one is a very clean example, t shows no sign of rust issues and has just over 112,000 miles. The car appears to still have the original exhaust under it, 've seen others like that around here and the obvious rust on the mufflers/resonators, nother good indicator is the factory resonators are still there. As far as the Body, t was repainted in 2011/12 and by my best guess, t was probably a home job or a friend that told him he could paint. I've seen worse and you have to admit it held up for around 4 years so far so that's something. The prep work was also below standards, he car has areas that were sanded uneven and it shows. It did have the passenger fender replaced at that time because of a dent but the car has a clean title and no other signs of previous damage. That being said, t would be outstanding with someone stripping it down and doing it properly because the car isn't rusty. The original color was a light blue, robably Astro Turquoise. The car has NO rust issues, 've spent time under her and found nothing other than light surface patina. The bumpers look excellent and all of the upper trim looks good. The trim on the body side was replaced with adhesive at the time, aybe they couldn't find the clips? Mechanically it's ready to go wherever you want. The engine and transmission were rebuilt back in 2011/12 when the paint work was done, o information on the specs from the rebuild but it runs great. This was a factory 4 bbl car and it currently has a correct QuadraJet on it now. I don't think the car has a ton of miles on it since but it's unknown. The water pump was replaced recently, he cooling system flushed and thermostat replaced. The transmission filter and gasket were serviced and new seal was also installed for the shifter shaft. The brakes will stop on a dime, o funny noises or squealing. It has American Racing wheels on it with Goodyear Eagle tires that have about 50% tread. The interior is very presentable, lmost everything was redone and it shows. The dash pad wasn't replaced and could easily be repaired with a cover since it's not warped or all tore up. Some of the upper trim as well as the metal part of the dash could use a little dye or paint but it's all there and not broken. The weather-strip seals were replaced when it was painted too, you can see in the picture their condition. The carpet looks good as does the package tray and headliner.
