1966 Chevy C10 Short Bed Pick Up Truck / Rat Rod

This tribute to the work trucks of the 60's was brought back to life from a barn in Central Texas. Over a period of 12 months the truck was disassembled and rebuilt holding to the originality of the vehicle .

Engine: The heart of this exceptional rebuild is the very detailed restoration of the original 250 cubic inch 6 cyl. Block Casting Number 3877178. It was removed from the truck and completely broken down .The engine bay was sanded down and painted to match the interior. The engine block,heads (casting number 3872708, anifold intake and exhaust were cleaned, ested and completely rebuilt back to original specs by City Motor Supply of Dallas Texas. A new rebuilt carbureto, uel lines, ilter and pump bring the fuel from a new gas tank and sending unit that were also installed. And all new radiator, hermostat, nd hoses were also installed to keep it cool. New heater blower motor and all new heater hoses will keep you warm. New Battery, lternator, park plugs/wire, istributor and coil will give you the spark you need.

Transmission: The original saginaw 3 speed on the tree that was used to change the gears in 1966 has completed a detailed restoration as well. The trasmission was totally disassimbled an rebuilt by Wade Transmission of Dallas Texas. A new clutch pressure plate and trowout bearing make going throu the gears smooth and nastalgic. What a cool experience it was showing my son how this all worked .

Interior: This working mans truck cab was restored with a fresh coat of paint. the Floors recieved patch pannels from Classic truck parts and are now solid. The cab floor was then painted with POR 15. The dash given some new trim. The missing radio was replaced with a factory correct am radio that was internally and externally rebuilt. Works awesome using the new door speakers and antenna. The new classic truck carpet was installed and new brake and clutch pedal pads. The origional bench seat was repaded and covered by Bells Upholstry in Plano Texas keeping the top rear origional looking. Shows awesome. Windows roll up and down as they should. Doors open and close like new. Gun racks were already there, t is Texas.

Bed is not a kit but hand made like they would have done in the 60's.

New Tires are on the newly painted origional rims.

New stop and reverse lights are on the rear.

The trucks suspension has the classic truck lowering springs and new shocks.
