1950 Chevrolet RARE 5 Window 3100 Series Shortbox 1/2 Ton Stepside Pickup California Titled VIN H55L00321 Titled as a 1955 Chevrolet Pickup but obviously the 5 Window Cab is circa 1950 Retro California Black Plate come with the pickup The Odometer reads 39,859 though the owner claims that has rolled over once. One owner for the past 27 years and the truck was stored for 20 years prior to him taking it out of storage about 5 years ago and begin giving it a mild restoration along with a few personal modifications. For those looking for the Cool Vintage Retro look this 50 Chevrolet Pickup nick-named "Hard Times" has it all! It delivers on all counts, at Rod, hop Truck, ot Rod ....what a great look....with just the right touches of exterior chrome! This Solid California Pickup was chemically treated to give the paint a consistent retro patina ....with a flat finish. It has the old school look with modern touches! Lowered and outfitted with 20" Chrome Wheels and ZR rated low profile tires....it has a great stance! It is equipped with a Chevy 350 V8 and a 4 Speed Transmission. Add to that an Edelbrock Carburator and Intake for some extra performance. Power Disc brakes on the front. Headers and Dual Exhaust gives it a nice throaty sound. A Camaro Front End gives it some modern handlingenhancements. It has Power Steering though that needs to be rebuilt and is currently not hooked up. It has been converted over to a 12 Volt electrical system. The Interior was treated to some Custom seats which were reupholstered, new carpet and new door panels. The Dash is still original and the original Speedometer and Fuel Gauge are non op. The added aftermarket gauges work as they should. The Wipers do not operate. The Exterior Glass is all in good condition with no chips or cracks. The glass is a little aged (yellow bubbling) along the edges in a few locations. The Body as we mentioned is very solid with only one area (lower rear passenger side wheel well edge) showing some corrosion. The Chassis is rock solid as you can see in the photos. The Engine Compartment is very tidy showing pride of ownership and maintenance. This Cool Retro Pickup runs out nicely, ith a smooth ride, lenty of power and a cool 4 Speed transmission.
