1967 SS Chevelle 396
An original 138 SS car!
Vin details*(references at bottom): 138177A145003... 1=Chevrolet, 8=Chevrolet SS 396, 7=Sport Coupe, =1967, =Atlanta, 45003=Production NumberBody Plate*(references at bottom): O1D=4th week of January, 3817=Chevelle SS Sport Coupe, TL=Atlanta GA, 47=Medium Red interior imitation leather Bench seat No headrests, =Black Tuxedo Body color, =Black Vinyl Top, Options) E=All Tinted Glass, Q=M21 4-speed TransmissionI originally purchased this car in 2009 with hopes of having it restored to its original specs and never got around to it. I purchased the car in Oklahoma where from the history I could find on the car is it spent it's entire life in Southern Kansas and Northern Oklahoma. The original 396 motor is gone and currently has (by the stamped numbers) a 1986 240HP 454. The car is not perfect but pretty close. The car has been stored in a climate controlled shop under a car cover since I purchased it. I have driven it maybe 20 miles over the past 6 years, oving it around the shop, eplace a flat tire, ash it...that's about it.It is missing the radio, right side windshield chrome trim piece and the shifter linkage bushings are worn out needing replaced. It goes into gear but not smoothly. It is currently painted Marina Blue with Black bucket seats. The 2nd prior to me (owner) changed the interior from Red to Black and changed the Bench to buckets with a correct 1967 bucket manual trans console.I am leaving plenty of "meat on the bone" for someone who wants to buy this, estore it and sell it at a premium. Ebay has an appraisal service or go to autoappraise.com and order an appraisal on the car.I can get any picture you would like of the car just..."Call or Text me at(239) 770-0630....Russell"Since this is a relist and had 50 almost exact same questions, et me answer those questions here:1. Yes it is an original 396 SS 1967 Chevelle... look up the information I provided already in the ad.2. Rust, he only rusty areas I have found on the car are in the floor pan where the kick pan and front floor pan meet. Small and the replacement pans are $70.3. Trunk, O RUST its clean...4. Rear end and transmission numbers... I have not run the rear end or trans numbers but it is a Muncie M21 from a quick view and the rear end is a 12 bolt.5. It is not, repeat NOT the original engine. I think 10 people asked this same question. Put your Beer down, on't spill it, nd read the Ad.6. "What HP was the original 396?", f course I told them the L78 375HP 396... Sorry but there is no way for me or anyone else to know 100% accurately! I have no documentation stating it is or isnt an L78 car.6. Yes, t is Blue! Did you not see the pictures?7. "Will you hold the car for me?" No..., he 1st person with the CASH deposited into my account gets the car.8. "Will you trade?" No, f I wanted another project or car why would I sell this one.9. Yes, t is still for sale! WTF people...come on. Some people make eBay very frustrating."I Have the Right to end Auction Early, hevelle is Listed For Sale Locally"I will assist your shipper load the vehicle, ut shipping/transport costs are your responsibility. Please do not bid unless you already have approval from your Mom, irlfriend, ife or combination of the three and have the money available! No "Hold it for me", o Trades and No checks; CASH if you pick it up in person but I prefer a Bank to Bank wire transfer.
