Finished in beautiful light blue paint with a sweet-running 350 under the hood, his 1972 Chevrolet C10 pickup is not too nice to take to work, nd too functional to be merely a toy. It's a great choice for one of the most handsome trucks to come out of the GM design studios in years, nd has a very traditional look that suits the C10 just fine. It appears that this is a very clean southern truck that has never been rusty or abused, nd the repaint a few years ago left it in good condition externally. Instantly recognizable coming or going, hese trucks are seeing a big resurgence in their popularity and prices for nice ones like this are slowly but surely inching up. That means the bright chrome bumpers fore and aft, nd the bed with a spray-in bedliner and a can-do attitude. There's even a bumper-mounted hitch out back just in case you'd like to put this one to work, ay, auling your show car, task for which it is ideally suited.Inside, he bench seat is upholstered in gray cloth that sure looks like GM would have done it, nd it's a clean complement for the bright blue paint. It's a little worn and thread-bare on the driver's side, ut it doesn't affect how this truck works and new seat covers are inexpensive. New black carpets on the floor give the blue collar truck a white collar feel and help control noise and heat as well. The dash, oor panels, nd lower kick panels have been painted to match the body, ying the entire truck together. The original gauge cluster is still in place and factory A/C with an R134a upgrade makes cruising a pleasure in any climate. The only thing it really lacks is a radio, ut it's ripe for an upgrade and sometimes starting from scratch is better than trying to fix someone else's problems. And while Chevy wasn't building SS trucks back in 1972, he Grant GT steering wheel doesn't look out of place in this truck's cabin.Neatly dressed with a few upgrades, he 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 under the hood runs as well as it looks. With lots of Chevy Orange paint, hrome valve covers, nd a new Edelbrock intake and carburetor, t's a great runner with lots of useful V8 torque. For reliability, here's a new alternator, resh hoses throughout, nd a set of ram's horn exhaust manifolds feeding a custom dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers. The TH350 3-speed automatic feeds the original 12-bolt rear end which is sturdy enough to do the heavy lifting. Big aluminum wheels wearing 275/60/15 performance radials really stuff the wheel wells without resorting to the reduced capacity of a lowered truck.It's really hard to not love a vintage pickup, specially when it's as well put together as this one.
