1957 Chevrolet 210 Wagon ( Bel Air)
It's time for my wife and I to change to something we might have more time to use in our area, nd were we go. We bought this 57 Chevy wagon, rom the orig owner south of Stockton, a .(this wagon was made in Oakland California's Chevy plant and she's never lived farther then 200 miles from her birthplace). The P.O. back in 94 decide to have her restored, e have receipt for most/some of the restored work, nd it was not cheap at 95 prices) Not a T.V. star deep pocket restore, ut nicely/tastefully done. He also had a rebuilt small block 307 v8, ith 350 heads and a mild cam installed (Runs nice with a nice throaty roar of dual pipes with Fishtail tips) Transmission is a TH 400 and uses a Hurst click shift for a clean look (both engine and trans came from a 72 Chevy donor before the rebuild)Car has been driven less then 3,000 miles since (him & Us) Has front Disc Breaks, nd power steerings (which squeak's a bit, just can't quite get the belt to line perfect) Recently we installed new shocks all the way around, ll proper length, ronts with over springs for the extra engine weight, ir in the rears at the factory spec lengt, hich more do not do)and a NOS vintage set of Thrusts, ith Cobra GTs, ig N small. All light work, hifts, rives as it should. Been to Santa Barbara, anta Maria and Pismo around the fourth of July. San Fran twice, for the Pleasanton, a Car show a month or so ago all with no issues. This wagon also has an Orig drawtite 1957 wagon trailer hitch on her, ith a 1 7/8 ball, nd the wife and I have used her to tow out 36 pre-teardrop to Grass vintage valley trailer show and some local KOA camp grounds to get away for the weekend (Truckee, lacerville) has a nice style Am-Fm cassette in the orig uncut dash (we use a cassette adapter and play our phone thought it. 4 speakers sound great. Not chips in any of the glass, ll work as they should, loors solid, eadliner. Heater and wipers not hooked u, ut did work) we don't drive in rain, indows are rolled dow, oons blasting, nd most of all our past car were convertibles so what heater ? right. Cars been garage kept, nd was so all those years with the orig owner. Doesn't over heat even when towing (topped at 180) 70 psi oil at her start and sits at aprox 35-40. Paint is 35 years old, ut still gets looks and comp's, ome pitting on some of the chrome (all trim/chrome complete and on car) Bullet SS grill with hidden turn signals and park lights, nd upgrades brighter glass head lights. 1957 California Y.O.M plates only, nly go with car IF sold to a California bidder .
