This 1966 Chevy II Nova Hardtop is a brand new pro street/bracket race build. This build was completed and has only been to two major shows - driven approximately 225 miles. Virtually every part on this car is brand new. This car has received much attention and coverage due to it's stance, anitary engine compartment and painted patinaexterior and hand lettering (this is not a vinyl wrap that will tear of fade).
Powertrain
The Nova is powered by a 454 cubic inch Big Block Chevrolet with an aggressive .580" lift hydraulic camshaft. This combination provides and aggressive sound (it sounds like a race car), ut still allows the car to be driven anywhere reliably. The engine is topped with a new Edelbrock Performer carburetor and a custom fabricated dual-snorkel air cleaner.Power is transferred to the rear tires through a Turbo 400 transmission and narrowed 9" Ford differential. A new 0ne-wire alternator provides charging to the truck-mounted battery.
Chassis and Suspension
Front chassis and suspension consists of a independent front suspension (IFS) front clip with rack and pinion steering, ubular a-arms (with billet stainless steel rod ends), ldan Eagle (made in the USA) adjustable coil-over shocks, nd Wilwood dual-pistondisc brakes. This is the nicest front clip I have seenon the market - a $4,000 package.
Rear chassis and suspension consists of a narrowed 9" Ford housing with a back brace, -link, ill plug, rain plug, nd additional bracing. The axles are re-splined Ford and the center section has an open gear for easy driving around town. Brakes are GM disc with 11" rotors. The rear frame rails are mandrel bent 2"x3" square tubing. The rear frame is tied to the front clip via 2" square tubing frame connectors.
Interior
Inside the car features all new sheet metal accented with bead-rolled panels. A new RCI fuel cell is mounted in the trunk along with the battery. The wheel tubs are very large and will accept virtually any size tire you would want to put on the car. All of the interior sheet metal has been sprayed with satin black epoxy primer/sealer - it is extremely durable and looks fantastic. The seats have been recovered with new covers from PUI Interiors. The front and rear door panels are also new from PUI Interiors. A four point roll-cage finishes out the interior.
Cooling
Cooling is provided by a new aluminum radiator with two 1" cores and transmission cooler. A new SPAL brand 16" electric fan is attached to the radiator via an aluminum fan shroud. A newaluminum high-flow water pump keeps the water circulating.
Body
The body was primed and sealed with several coats ofurethane epoxy 2K primer/sealer before the faded, eathered patina paint and faded lettering were applied. This car was painted so that it looks like it has been sitting outside for years (but there is no actual rust!). The rear wheel openings have been stretched to accommodate the 33"x12" rear tire. The hood is a new Harwood 4" cowl that is also finished on the bottom side (the bottom of the hood is just as nice as the top). All of the body panels are GM steel.
This car is being sold with a clear Kentucky title in my name. It is free of clear of any liens and is current. There will be absolutely no issues or hassle with the transfer of ownership of this car into your name.
