1970 Monte Carlo SS 454 Rare LS5 Z20 bucket seat console ac BUILD SHEET PROTECTO PLATEI am selling my 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo very low productionSport Coupe142,153SS 454 Package3,823Total Monte Carlo Production145,976I have tried to verify as much as I could on this car, have figured out that the motor is a 454 but is casting 3999289 which appears to be a block from 1972 or later, ut I cant tell if it is a CE block (factory replacement) or not. So I am going to assume that it may not be. I cant read the pad on pass fron, ut it is the wide pad which indicates it is the older block rather than the newer blocks that had the small pad.From all of the research I found, ooking for the tell tale signs including the build sheet that I have, looked for the air ride parts that was only available on SS454 cars and found that the compressor was gone from the engine compartment but the valves etc were still mounted in the back above the rear end for the air shocks!!!
