This is the truck you've been looking for. A 1962 stepside C30. It's the one-ton version of a C10. Most that you see are duallies, ut this one is standard, o you have that C10 look with that C30 beef. It's also easy to work on because C10 body parts swap out directly on this truck, enders, ab, ood, t's all the same as a C10.The 235 straight 6 starts right up, o protesting or complaining. I don't know how many miles it's got on it (odometer broke at 79,000) and it does use some oil but not an excessive amount, specially considering the age. I drive it to work everyday and it hasn't let me down. It's got a 4 speed tranny with a granny gear (1st) for hauling. For normal driving you start in second and it's like driving a 3 speed.A lot of updating has already been done, ncluding a new radiator, new master cylinder, new voltage regulator, odern oil filter (the old canister style filter is still in place, ust no longer in use), xchanged the generator for an alternator and so on. I also have two extra tires you can have. It's rusty and I don't have the time to take it apart to fix it right. Needs new cab supports, loor patches, nd rockers (common repairs on these trucks). Could also use new front fenders. The old wood bed is shot but there's a sheet of plywood over it. One wheel cylinder leaks brake fluid (wheel cylinders run about $40) and it could probably use new brake shoes but it stops fine. Sometimes the headlights flicker. I have not been able to figure this out because other times they work fine. I think there's a loose ground wire somewhere, just haven't found it. The seat needs reupholstering but it works pretty well with that seat cover (I put in a pillow to replace the lost stuffing). This is a great truck with a whole lot of upside. If it doesn't sell, 'm going to get in there and start cutting rust out, ut this is your chance to get a sweet and rare ride that you can drive and work on. I have a project I'm working on that I need some money for or I wouldn't be selling it. No title but it's exempt due to age; all you need is a bill of sale.
