The great thing about the 1957 Chevy being one of the most popular cars of all time is that there's a vast aftermarket that allows you to build exactly the '57 Chevy of your dreams. This gorgeous Bel Air hardtop is a mild resto-mod with all the modern conveniences, ut a very traditional stock look. If you enjoy driving your collector cars, ou need to drive this '57. As a solid southern car, t's an incredibly straight, lean hardtop that totally nails the traditional, EM look that so many people admire. With a show-quality Matador Red finish atop some extremely straight bodywork, t would be easy to dismiss this one as a trailer queen. Gaps are excellent, nd the paint is so vivid that you need sunglasses to look directly at it. All the delightful '57 Chevy details are in place, oo, ncluding the gold anodized front grille and stylized 'V' that indicates 8 cylinders under the hood, he polished stainless trim along the flanks and which surrounds the anodized panels in back. Show chrome like this doesn't come cheap, ither, nd there's no evidence that any corners were cut anywhere on this car. Original materials and patterns were used for the interior as well, uplicating the '50s with a few thoughtful upgrades that make it a pleasure to drive. The seats are gorgeous red and black fabric with vinyl trim, nd it fits so well that it was surely done by professionals not in someone's garage. Black carpets with red rubber floor mats continue the theme down low, hile the beautifully restored dashboard is full of rebuilt gauges. Air conditioning has been integrated into the dash as well, ut it's so neatly done that you hardly even notice it, ven when you know it's there. There's a 700R4 4-speed automatic behind the engine, ut the only tipoff is a properly labeled shift indicator, hich now shows four forward gears. And speaking of trick modifications, heck out the beautiful stock-style wheel which could easily pass for original, ere it not for the smaller 15-inch diameter. Too cool! A fully dressed 350 cubic inch small block delivers the power, nd given the amount of dress-up on the engine, ou're going to have to practice getting the hood open every time you stop. Fitted with a Summit serpentine belt system for reliability, massive radiator, nd power steering and brakes, t drives like a modern car. Stainless hoses and thoughtful wire routing keep everything neat, nd the beautifully finished inner fenders are the perfect background for the glittering engine. Underneath, t's like a stock car, ith red oxide primer on the floors and a satin black frame, omplete with a 3.50 geared rear end with Positraction. Vintage Torque-Thrust wheels complete the illusion and wear new BFGoodrich radials. With less than 1000 miles since the build was completed, his is a new car in every way. A stunning integration of stock and modified, f only every resto-mod were this nice. Call today.
