We had a local off-road fab shop find a clean, ll original platform to start with. They rebuilt the axles with new drive shafts, dded the wheels, hot the tuff skin, edid the interior, dded the built 462 BBC mated to a rebuilt TH400/ NP208 from a M1008 CUCV. The lusterless battleship gray paint and tuff skin was done to stay with the MIL utilitarian theme of the truck as it is a Naval inspired CUCV. Tuff Skin alone cost $2000. I had the truck changed from a 3+3 to a crew cab with front bucket seats and console for comfort. But truck does come with the original bench seat and a second fuel tank if you want to hook it up. The truck runs great, t has big HP and torque; it can pull a house off the foundation. The engine has about 7,000 miles on it and has a ton of power with potential for a lot more. The engine builder tune it back since potentially I was not the only driver. The truck comes with the very desirable Dana 60 & Dana 70 axles out of a Chevy one ton dually. This means the H1 wheels can be run without wheel spacers. This is by far the best way to run the H1 wheels. And if you wanted to turn the truck into a dually all you need is a set a dually wheels and a pair of fiberglass fender wells. The transmission and transfer case, rom a 1986 M1008, as rebuilt before going in the truck. I was trying to stay with the CUCV Military theme. The NP208 has a ratio off 2.61:1.The truck is pretty rare being a diesel with factory A/C, ne ton drivetrain that has been in CA for over 30 years. As I stated the truck is registered as a diesel so it does not need to be smogged, hich is always a plus. There are a few minor dings and dents but for the most part is a clean CA truck that turns a lot of heads. If you have any questions please email them.Thanks.
