Time for a different project. This truck originally lived on a ranch in South Dakota and made its way to Wisconsin for a father/son project which fell through. I then purchased it and did a lot of work to make it a local "daily driver". Starts very easy with choke.1962 Chevrolet C10 pickup235ci 6cyl engine (original to the truck to my knowledge)3 speed column shift transmission (original to truck to my knowledge)Rear wheel driveManual steering and brakesI have owned the truck for about a year now and drive it almost every day to work 35 miles round trip with no real problemsIn the last year the truck has had these new parts installedALL NEW BRAKE SYSTEM including master cylinder, ines, heel cylinders, hoes, rums. Stops pretty good in my opinionNew OEM RADIATORNew WIPER BLADES WIPERS WORK FINENEW EXHAUST FROM FRONT OF CAB BACKNEW BATTERYNEW IGNITION SWITCHNEW CLUTCH KIT including flywheel resurfacedNEW U-Joints in driveshaftREPLACED The rear main sealCleaned 53 years of buildup from the oil pan and re sealed oil panCleaned the oil pickup and tubeReplaced fuel pump and gasketNEW FUEL FILTERReplaced transmission shift grommetsReplaced transmission input and output seals and cleaned transmission and put new fluid inReplaced rear end fluidI installed rear AIRBAG SUSPENSION this spring with onboard air compressor and 5 gallon air tank mounted under the bed. This have the truck about a 5" drop over stock ride height and rides so much nicer! I also built an in cab regulator with gauge and valves to "dump" the bags and fill them from drivers seat.Installed a new rear bumper and did a flush mount tow hitch welded into the frame with 4 pin wiring.15.5 gallon Beer Keg fuel tank. I have the original fuel tank that had a pin hole in it so I removed it and made the stainless Keg tank and mounted it in the bed. Works great!!Truck had a 3/4" plywood bed when I got it so I refinished some pine boards and installed them over top of it. I've hauled 1000 lbs in the bed of the truck with no issues at allFound a big ammo can and installed that in the bed where the air compressor is located.New front tires (rear tires are getting low on tread but are still fine). Front tires are 205/75-15's rears are 255-70-15's (gives it a cool hot rod look).Front torsion bar suspension has been turned down to lower the front end of the truck (can be adjusted by turning the nuts on the mounts)The truck has some rust. The drivers fender has some rust in the rear lower part.Drivers door inside bottom is gone but exterior is goodDrivers side rocker panel is pretty solidDrivers side floor board by rocker has a little daylight starting to come through as does the floorboard by high beam floor mounted switch but I'm 6' 250lbs and can stand on them with no issues. Rest of the floors are pretty solid with surface rustCab mounts have some rust starting but are pretty solid and not saggingCab has about a 6" long by 1.5" wide hole rusted through right about the windshield seal on drivers side (filled with foam and primed itCab has a another rust hole about 2" circle by passenger side upper door pillar (filled with foam also).Cab has more rust above the windshield seal on passenger side but isn't all the way through I don't believeThe rest of he truck is pretty solid but does have rust and dents and scrapes/scratches all overHeadlights/Tail lights workTurn signals need to be repaired but work intermittentlySpeedometer and odometer aren't working cable isn't hooked up. I couldn't reach it to install. Never bothered meOne brake light works the other isn't working because the turn signal switch may be badSteering Box has about an 1/8 of a turn of play in it. Works fine just has play in itEngine uses oil and smokes but will still cruise at 55 mph going down the roadTransmission pops out of third gear while driving (may need linkage adjusted or some parts replaced but I just hold it in gear while driving (no big deal to me).IVE TRIED TO DESCRIBE THE TRUCK AS BEST AS POSSIBLE TO MY KNOWLEDGE.
