Offered is what Chevrolet called it's "1951 Styleline Special Business Coupe". It was their lowest priced car in 1951 and third lowest in production numbers. Bare bones: minimal chrome, o carpeting, adio, lock, urn signals, rm rests, r even back seat. Their suggested price was $1460. This one was purchased in Dallas and although showing many bumps, ruises, nd heavy interior wear has survived 64 years unaltered, ery solid, nd running very well. Up close the chrome does have some pitting and thewindshieldand vent windows have some perimeter fogging. It was stored in an open shed in Texas for a number of years before I bought it and then in a barn since then. Please look at the pictures closely to make your judgment of the physical condition and if there are other pictures or information you need, lease ask ...... I had planned on including more but seems 24 pictures is the limit. For me, he direction was as a survivor so the weakest appearance points were the seat and door panel upholstery, ront floor mat, ront bumper, nd driver's side rear rubber fender guard. The strongest points are that the common places to be rusted out (floors, runk, ockers, oor and fender bottoms) are not on this car. It is a 3 owner car that stayed near Dallas, exas until I purchased it in 2006. I have photo copies of the original dealer invoice and an Estate title transfer to the second owner. The 1966 license plates were on it when I bought it ..... as part of the story. The car currently has a transferable New York State Registration in my name. The 58,011 mileage on the odometer does seem possible based on the lube stickers but it is also possible there is another 100,000 miles on the car.Other projects have kept me from working on this neat old coupe other than getting it running, leaning off the years of storage, ammering out a few dents, nd proceeding toward making a survivor out of it. Mechanically, did the standard fluid changes, hanged the fuel pump, nd added a temporary fuel tank (the original tank is bad) to get it running well. The picture of the gauges is with the car idling for 30 minutes. The wiring is all original with no tampering or weird splices and seems to work fine. Electrically, he lights work with the exception of the dash, icense and dome lights but the heater motor and charging system do not. The car shifts and seems to drive fine but the brakes, harging system, nd gas tank will need replacing before driving it on the road. It's a pleasure to work on a Texas car where almost all the bolts actually unthread instead of shear off.... I just don't have enough time for this one. Treat yourself to a lot of car for a little money.Included are 6 new plugs, oints andcondenser, nd 4 full tread but old and cracked 6.70x15 tube type Firestonetires. Please contact me before bidding bid if you have 0 feedback. The car is advertised locally and may end early. Shipping is the buyers responsibility.Thank you for your interest.
