Car description |

I've owned this car since 2008. It's a solid, lean, ust free original paint car. I consider it as more or less a tribute car to if GM had gotten serious about CFI, Crossfire Injection) performance in the 3rd gen Camaro/Firebird. I had always wanted to find a clean LU5 car and add a free flowing, eriod correct exhaust and T5. And that's pretty much what I did here.I've tried to use original, C Delco or period correct pieces wherever possible. Even the shifter ball was sourced from an '83 Z28, ith the correct stitching going up and down. The restrictive exhaust has been replaced with L69 exhaust manifolds, custom made 2.25" Y-pipe, oing into a 3" Catco High Flow cat, nto a real 3" intermediate pipe, nd an SLP 2OTL muffler tailpipe. Car sounds and runs awesome and looks completely factory. These are some of the new parts:Tokico struts and shocks.Tokico 2" lower springs, still have the originals)AC Delco strut bearings.1986 IROC-Z WonderbarStarterWater PumpPower steering pumpAC Delco Distributor cap, oil and rotorIACAC Delco O2 sensor2 K&N airfiltersMAP sensorAll new vaccuum linesHVAC fanHeater control switch160* T-statDriver's side injectorECMNew visors, New as in NOS, ever been used before me)New and CORRECT '83 window switches. (Double the price of the newer, ore common ones)Chuck Pelton '83 Z28 wheel, best $200 I ever spent - by far).Clutch, lywheel, ressure plate, tc.Phoenix Graphics hood blackoutsCoolant overflow bottleWindow Washer bottleDriver and passenger side grillsSilver Star headlights.
Front window seals. (Those triangle things)Many more I can't even think of.The car runs awesome, ots of fun to drive and have driven it long distance. AC blows ice cold.It is an original paint car and has multiple door dings. It also has one small dent on the passenger side rear wheel lip, here I bumped the branch of an arborvitea - see pic. It could use new T-Top seals and window sweeps. There is a small leak from the speedometer gear at the rear of the transmission. I replaced an O-ring which stopped the leak, ut I just noticed it has started again.I also have some very rare and hard to find parts I bought for this car, hich can be bought separately or will include for asking price.. The last ever in the world, orrect, FI hood insulation molded with the aluminum backing, till in the original GM box. New and unused blue GM front floor mats. I searched for years to get these, aven't seen any since and have never installed them. I saw new GM floor mats in the common black color on ebay for $500 last month. How much are these super-duper rare blue ones worth? Your guess is as good as mine. Complete, lue Lear Siegler Conteur interior, ncluding nice door panels - which I had to pay through the nose for. Front seats need to be re-upholstered and I have purchased enough "CAMARO" fabric to do them. I don't have the blue bolster fabric, hough. This is a cool, un car, ut it's also 32 years old and shows some wear. Let me know if you have any questions. Car currently has 106K miles.
