I started out searching for a new chassis, nd finally decided on a rolling chassis from David Barbrey at Corvette Resto mod and chassis www.vetteframe.com, n incredible craftsman who has been building custom chassis for decades. It turned out to be a great choice, he frame is precision crafted and fit perfectly. David set the chassis up with C4 Corvette suspension on all four corners, ack and pinion steering, nd a Dana 44 rear end with 3.07 gears, reat for cruising the highway. I decided to upgrade the brakes to C6 Calipers and rotors with stoptech stainless brake lines. The car has brand new 18x8 and 18x9 Special Edition Torq Thrust American racing wheels with 225/40/18 and 245/40/18 Sumitomo HTR Z II tires. I then turned my attention to the drive train, nd chose a 1998 Corvette engine (VIN: 1g1yy22g6w5124490) with 26,000 miles on it, nd picked up a Procharger supercharger kit, nd integrated a custom 3" Front mount intercooler system to keep intake temps low. The procharger is the upgraded DSC-1 compressor wheel which adds an extra 50HP over the standard procharger kit. the car sports a brand new flywheel and upgraded clutch to handle the power. I picked up a T56 six speed transmission from a low mileage GTO, hich shifts flawlessly through a new short throw shifter, nd had a custom drive shaft crafted and balanced. The whole fuel system is brand new, ncluding the gas tank, tainless braided fuel lines, SD high flow fuel pump, nd 42LB injectors. All the chrome pieces have been replaced or re-plated including front and rear bumpers, indshield posts, oor posts, eft, ight, enter eyelids. grab bar hold downs, ail lights, tc. The motor mounts, /C compressor, lave cylinder, ilwood master cylinder, hrome brake booster and starter are all brand new. I purchased a new stand alone wiring harness from PSI conversions, nd had the car tuned with a 99+ PCM, t runs excellent. Ice cold A/C and Heat are provided by a custom Vintage A/C system mated with the New GM A/C compressor. I had a custom gauge bezel created to house new white faced speedo, ach, il pressure, oolant temp, olts, nd fuel level. They all work perfectly, s do the turn signals, ail lights, nd low beam headlights. The interior has also been customized with a chrome steering column W/ tilt, maller but original looking steering wheel, new chrome horn cap, lack seats with Alcantara inserts and red stitching on original seat frames with new foam. A one off center console, ainted and clearcoated black, hich houses the Billet A/C controls, ent, ouch screen stereo system with GPS, D player, ack up camera, nd Ipod hook up. A custom center rear console was modified in place of the glove box and two speakers were installed, he stereo sounds excellent, ith two larger speakers installed in the side kick panels.The exhaust has new 4 into 1 headers that flow exhaust gas out the head and into flowmaster 3" pipe and dual polished stainless mufflers into 3" side exit chrome tips. Overall this is an exceptional vehicle at a bargain price, he exterior including paint is very nice and above average, nd the fit and finish is great, his car turns more heads and gets more attention than anything I have ever driven, nd I have had many exotics and high end cars. The car is 100% stock exterior wise except for the wheels, rakes, nd intercooler. The car handles, rakes, nd drives well and is an absolute beast when you put the throttle down!
