1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible with hard top. 327 CID 300 HP V8, owerglide automatic transmission, ower steering, AM/FM radio with power antenna, nock-off wheels, ood steering wheel, and luggage rack. Pro:Matching numbers. Starts and runs like new.Data plates under the glove box match car colors and options.Paint is glossy and in very good shape. (a few small chips and the normal stress lines from age) Mileage shows slightly over 27k and appears to be correct.Car is mostly original and the condition reflects that. The interior is nearly perfect. The carpet has no stains and the vinyl has no cracks or tears. Still has original jack and lead hammer although one side has been used. It comes with the factory seat covers to keep the occupants cool in the summer. They still look new. I have the original security plate from the first owner in the back of the factory manual and a copy of the original invoice for the car showing factory options.Con: The tachometer does not work due to a broken drive gear off the distributor. I have replaced the gear once but it seems the distributor shaft is the issue. With the powerglide it hasn't been a priority. The clock works when it wants to as is normal for the original parts. The washer bottle is old and brittle so I don't keep any liquid in it but the pump runs fine. The carburetor the correct size Holley but it has an electric choke, ot the factory manifold choke. The wheels are knock-offs but not factory original. The steering wheel is wood but it's not the original factory teak. I'm not sure if it's aftermarket or a part swapped from another car. The wood is a little darker than the teak should be. Things I've done: * Garage kept and covered for the entire time I've owned it. * Only oil with sacrificial metals used (lucas high zinc) and not just off the shelf stuff. * New brake calipers all the way around. They are notorious for leaking if not replaced as the factory ones were made from inferior metals. New master cylinder as well. * Added small electric fan on the radiator. (Does not interfere with factory setup and is not spliced into factory wiring) * New alternator. * Lead additive with every fill up. This car is in amazing condition. Options for this car (as listed by Hagerty): Powerglide 2 speed automatic. -10% Hard Top +$3700Power Steering +$2500 Luggage Rack (no price listed and I'm guessing this was a dealership add-on) AM/FM radio (no price listed but it was a more expensive option then the automatic transmission when it was new) Car is listed locally and the auction may be removed if it sells. Feel free to send me any questions.(Shipping to San Diego, akland or Seattle is approximately $1500. That's about $300 off this island to Oahu and $1100 standard car rate via Matson to those 3 ports.)
